I remember that back in MMM days when we sounded notes of warning to gullible gamblers, we were dismissed as being JEALOUS until the inevitable happened.

I wish all the victims good luck in their next endeavours. Nigerians love to learn the hard way.

Legit investment companies hardly pay more than 9% yearly. I don't know how someone thought a company will pay 10% monthly.

So if I invest N10m, I get N1m every month.

Just like that? How?

Op you did a great job, especially with the illustrations and ellucidations.

But, dear Op, why did you make Sam Adeyemi popular in this post, even including his image?

This is a fraud detailing post, and, Sam Adeyemi, as you adduced here, is the pastor of the church Bamise attends.

Being a pastor cannot incriminate Sam, except you have more facts against him.
Otherwise, I will advice you expunge his picture.

(Just a humble opinion).

Why is Pastor Adeyemi's picture here? Is he the owner of the company?
Anyone who offers guaranteed returns on an investment is likely not telling you the truth. No one can guarantee returns every month without fail except you are loaning the person money; in that case they are paying you interest and because it is a loan, they can default. Which is why you collect collateral.
it's probably one of the pictures that was used to deceive the mugus.

When Nigerians see a pastor's picture, they equate it to an endorsement and lose all their senses.

IMO, it is not appropriate to use pastor Adeyemi's picture here. He is also a victim as his church was also scammed from the story since they also invested in his company (I stand to be corrected). Pastors take pictures with many church members both the rich and average among them.

Why doesn't the OP also include pictures of Bamise with his Zenith bank boss, his social club acquaintances, and other high network individuals in his network which he must have took pictures with? You cannot hold them responsible for his wrongdoing na when some of them are even his victims. This is just sensationalism (including Sam Adeyemi).

A pastor's main job is to protect his flock from evil spiritual forces. Many church ppl lost significant sums of hard earned money, some their life savings.

Hear this and hear this well, one of the "wrongest" set of people to do business with in Nigeria are Christians. The moment they use their mouth and tell you they're Christians, please carry your money and run for you life. Run as if you're being chased by BOKO HARAM. JUST RUN!!.

But, is the pastor whose picture is included in the post a director in the fraudulent company or is he an innocent person who may have lost his own money to the Ponzi

Exactly.

Why do people invest huge sum of money without due diligence. The reason scammers do away with people's money is because even the people too are greedy and ignorant.

What you seek first before releasing your money:

Don't trust registration certificates, they mean a little here.
What is the company doing with investors' fund.
Get hold of their pass performances.
What are the treats to their business.
Is the business insured against such treat.
Who determines investment decisions?
What percentage of their capital are they spending on Ads and other overheads? Because if these costs are high, little capital would be available for the actual business, and thus the business might be a ponzi scheme.

Again, watch how much they pay to referrals, just as this guy and wife pay huge sum to the employing. This shows that the employees are the referrals and baits that lure investors to the gallow.

Its just so painful, that in Nigeria present conditions people are losing huge money to scammers. angry
