Write in English. Only a fool thinks Mega schools are built by World Bank. The Borno state government has recruited over 2000 teachers for the schools and most of them have resumed.

If you don't know things ask, don't just talk ignorantly. What ground are you in? I am from Borno state and Kanuri there is no ground better than this

I'm in Borno, so you can't sell these lies to me. Doesn't Bayyajidda sound Kanuri to you? Recruited 2000 teachers in your dream, yet the "Mega" schools are just decorations without teachers.

And I did mention that the problem I have with your comment...sorry i was not clear...is that you think we can be rich because we have resources.

For me, the fact that we have oil, mineral, and other resources is meaningless. What i am interested in is what we do with those resources...especially using them to make products. That is why Dangote is rich...he woke up from being a mass importer, and went into manufacturing.

Most Nigerians on the other hand think we can live by selling resources and sharing the revenues...which is why we have this North South fight over who controls what. Meanwhile, neither North nor South is talking of ways we can encourage use of the resources to make industrial products.

That's the problem I have with your comment...and with both the government and the opposition.

(p.s most of the people working for Dangote are Southerners. Also in an ideal situation, only Kogi and BENUE WOULD benefit from revenues from cement...not the whole 'South')

southern nigeria was rich by just selling resources because the revenue from the sale of the resources could cater for its population and there was still millions in net profit and that net profit money that should have been used to further the infrastructural development of southern Nigeria, due to amalgamation in 1914, was used to balance the accounts of northern Nigeria because northern Nigeria was always running at net loss...

Nigeria can never be rich due to its population not only because of the lack of manufacturing..

the whole south is not benefiting. da:ngote pays tax to kogi, benue and ogun.. da:ngote is rich because a large population of Nigerians buy his cements not because his into manufacturing..

Ha ha ha. Don’t let the one Nigeria forever people block you. They know that north has little or no value for Western education because of religious constraints.

But they antagonize anyone soliciting for north to separate from the south of Nigeria. It will be better for far north sharia states to have their country to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal justice system; so that the southern regions can splinter and get their own countries.

I served in Gombe and Akko is where the capital is, the state has one of the best public school facilities in the country mostly in the capital and their pupils are surprisingly learned (majorly women). Mind you, I served with a public agency that afforded the opportunity of traversing the capital nay the state in general.

Could remember when my CDS visited a public school then, mahn, come and listen to intelligent questions being asked by this students mostly the girls with good English.

In terms of religion, the state is shared just like Nigeria 50-50. During my time there their deputy governor was a Christian.

You don't know what you are saying...

terrorism in Gombe state? Please update yourself, Gombe is one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria

As far as I'm concerned, Northern states are plagued with terrorism, whether Gombe or Begom; the same narrative of peace is being spread about Kaduna. You will hear "Kaduna is one of the most peaceful places to reside in the north", but look at what is going on there.

And they have a local government chairman and a state governor. Shameless people.

Look Nigerians should be ashamed of ourselves. We keep blaiming the leaders but we forget that these same leaders came out of our society. Hence, they say, the leaders are a true reflection of its people.

Some people will say Na lie. BUT deep down, ask yourself, if you were put into a position of authority, would you divert, siphon or steal funds? The answer is YES. Hence, this country will not change until we start changing the society from the small social unit of the family

Abbajidda. Or simply Jidda

Google Bayajidda, the prince from Baghdad (the capital of modern-day Iraq) and son of King Abdullahi, but he was exiled from his home town after Queen Zidam, also known as Zigawa, had conquered the city. Once he left Baghdad, he traveled across Africa with numerous warriors and arrived in Bornu (Borno) where he was given one of the Mai's daughters as a wife, and then later lived for a while in Hausaland where he married the Queen of Daura, who also gave him a Gwari mistress as a reward for slaying "Sarki", said to be a great snake which deprived her people of access to water. By the Queen of Daura, Bayajidda had a son called Bawo, another called Biram by the Borno princess, and yet another son, Karbagari, by his Gwari paramour. Bawo is said to have succeeded his father and had six sons who became the rulers of Daura, Katsina, Zazzau, Gobir, Kano and Rano. These, together with Biram, which was ruled by the son of Bayajidda and of the Borno Princess, formed the "Hausa Bakwai" or the "Hausa 7". However, Karbagari the son of the Gwari mistress had seven sons too who ruled Kebbi, Zamfara, Gwari, Jukun, Ilorin, Nupe and Yauri which are referred to in this tradition as the "Banza Bakwai" or "Illegitimate seven.
