The risks, insults, heartaches, disappointment is not at par with the profit. As a matter of fact there's no profit.
It's better you sell that car and use the money to establish abusiness.
Talking from experience. It's a business I did with my car for 18months. I regret every second of it. If you do the business, you will loose either the car, or your sanity (lots of friends even lost their life)
That's the truth.
Baba nothing wey dey easy for this country. And as for the insult, it's a normal thing in Lagos for guy man wey dey hustle..you must look away!
The same Uber that my guys here in Ajah did that improved their life its what you re saying it's not a profitable business?

All I see is your mind never see the good in it due to laziness on your own part..

Here in the US. Uber drivers are not looked at as just drivers. A lot of drivers that I know here are professionals from different ethnicity trying to make extra cash on the side to Augment their income . I know an assistant College professor , my own cousin ( architect) and my engineer neighbor . It makes perfect sense if one can do extra 3 hours after work to make $100....do that 5 days a week($500) , save it and send it home every month ($2000) to finance your building project in Nigeria WITHOUT touching your salary .

Get it right...Most drivers have Bolt and Uber apps on their phones.

When not working Uber, they switch to Bolt. and yes...you can work as long as you like.

he specifically said uber

the harassment from police too

Let's not even get started with that. Police, VIO, FRSC, Lagos State task force and even Local Government task force (Yaba and other parts of Surulere), Yellow taxi driver will harrass one, NURTW will harass. If you are around the airport, FAAN and the the rest will harrass you.

Guys, I just started about 2 weeks ago. I use KIA SORENTO 2005 and boy, the fuel consumption no be here. In truth, I personally knows and thinks there is money in transportation business (Bolt/Uber) but my problem so far, is that, my car consumes fuel a lot, so i am planning on changing to a smaller car (Corolla, Camry and even Honda). (So, if you have any, kindly whatsapp me 08034157602. My advantage too, is that due to the size of the Car (Jeep) police have never stopped me more than once and they just flashed through my paper and asked me to go. Lastma, etc all usually thinks i am a private. Also the NAVY sticker on my windscreen makes them even salute me sometimes even with my passenger.

As a new entrant, i am having issues with understanding this BONUS stuff. I will do a trip of N3000, i end trip, the app will say Customer will pay N2,400. Bolt will pay you N600. At the end of the day, Bolt has never paid me before. Even have done few card trips, and i was never paid by bolt. These are the major challenges i really see in the business, apart from that, it is profitable. very profitable

Pls I want to know how much you can make from uber business in Lagos with your own car not driving for someone, pls if you're in the business pls your advice is welcome..

Doing Uber/Bolt biz in Nigeria is very dangerous. Some have lost their cars or their lives or both driver and car disappearing without a trace!

I'm not trying to discourage you, because there are people who've been safely doing this Uber/Bolt biz without experiencing any of the above incidents.

You just need to be careful. If you don't feel good about a passenger, park where there are people and demand the person leave your car. It's better to have a bad review than being in a life threatening situation.

Good luck!

Since it's your car and if it's in good condition you have covered 50% of the business fundamentals.however I would advise you don't take it as full time rather seek other income sources.

You should be able to easily make 50k weekly after expenses full time with the right motivation, ingenuity, street, meticulousness and most importantly of all a very calm and patient mind.
thanks man..
