OK!

First of all, the guy complaining of how worthless oil will become in 2030 should quit the illusion he's served by the west. It will take another century for fossil fuel to phase out, that is, if it does eventually. I guess he does not know the energy crisis the world is "grappling" with right now. I don't think God has taken the value he's placed on fossil fuel away just yet. Until that happens, it will be here forever.

Again, the children of hate whose comments were highlighted in the report should quit their rage and face reality. They just hate that it's Dangote that the clueless Emefiele mentioned. How many places in the world do you have refineries owned by government?

We all know our country is bad at managing anything. If someone took the bold steps, he should be applauded because Nigerians will benefit more.

Nigeria is a nation that has leaders without vision. How do you explain our inability to even refine what we have in abundance? It's heartbreaking.

Nigerians should prepare to buy fuel 700 a litre just like 1kg of gas is being sold now. Dangote will be in a rush to get his capital back before the inevitable ban on combustion engine by the USA in 2030.

its very insufficient and secondly Dangote as a business is out to make profit , giving the company monopoly to a national natural resource is absurd and questionable.
Besides can't we explore other resources ? and also try to at least catch up with latest innovations and grow with them undecided

What happened to the other 4 refineries we have in this country?
Domestic terrorists aka militants have sabotaged the pipelines carrying crude to those refineries.

I insist, even with 10 licenses you would not be able to build 1 refinery.

Do your worst.

Only foolish and myopic would criticize

When companies are growing and functioning economy of a state will be booming and by extension it will reduce import of certain goods and services which will also have positive effect on exchange rate of such country.

Nigeria is the most backward country I have ever seen.

First, you own Refineries that don't produce a single drop of oil yet you spend millions to maintain.

Now you want to monopolize oil to one man because of your incompetence and you brag about it saving you import Fx,

They should just kukuma sell Nigeria to Dangote.

Tell ur dad to start his own refinery nah, or you think government won't give him license ni?

How many licenses were issued? And how many people even took a block to their proposed site? Nigerians must look for someone to blame for their woes.

Nigerians are the problem causing the fall of naira not CBN governor. How can we consume 90% imported products and services and expect CBN governor to do magic. If you are in Nigeria, look around your home and separate made in Nigeria products from the imported ones including the gadget you are using to read this and know that we are the problems. What have you produced? People are busy trading on imported goods and even services and blaming another person. Let's think inwards

Emefele is so useless.

By 2030 Crude oil prices will drop to $20 does that mean Nigeria economy will slide into recession forever?

It's now obvious our politicians think Western countries are Joking about electric cars

Assuming something goes wrong technically with Dangote's project that means, no back up plan. There was a country.

You could always build yours.

There's a very large market.

You won't lose.

If America bans, which is unlikely by that time, the majority of our buyers are outside America, so oil stays. The war on oil is to weaken Russia. It will continue to have value for a longer time.

Give more licences for others to build refineries.

Your statement means that you are not up to date at all because it means that you don't have an idea how many people had obtained licences to build refineries before Dangote decide to apply for the licence. None of them built anything.

What has CBN said that is out of place aside mentioning the date of commencement of operation?

The country got to this level because individuals (top level) who are supposed to project into the future never bothered to do that, thus the country plunged more and more into obscurity during their time.

It is wise to acknowledge the input of individuals who deliberately contribute to the development of the economy.

Dangote has proven to be a patriotic Naija man. Do you know most of the refineries abroad belonged to some ex military Generals and con Nigerians, reason why they cared less of the refineries at home?

I pray that God continues to sustain Dangote on this. I saw one his interviews where he said "I decided to venture into manufacturing after years trading (buying and selling to rake profit)." Recall before Dangote there were Eleganza, Doyin group and others that failed. Some went on to float commercial banks and still failed. We shall discuss this area later.

Something is definitely working for Dangote and I pray he lives long to benefit and enjoy the fruits of his earthly labor.

and jobs will be created for Nigerians by Nigerians. Imagine the number of jobs we've created indirectly for people outside Nigeria as we import everything. Nigerians hate growth actually.
