TheGoodJoe:

I have asked, if it is headers, goals and assists, do you think Guardiola will prefer Gabriel Jesus over the greatest scorer in the history of Manchester City. Greatest foreign goalscorer in the history of the English Premier League.
grin grin grin oga guardiola bench the ass out of Jesus when it was clear aguero was the goal getter and it was when aguero was battling with injury he Lost his place.

Guradiola is willing to spend 100 million on a new striker and referring to his team as without a striker while 'well rounded' Jesus is in the team no mind this people

That is why I find it baffling about people.

If I said Benzema is a better all round striker that Higuain, does that mean that Higuain is a one dimensional robot?

I repeat, the problem is comprehension.
How more rounded is Osimhen then?

Although a hexagon chart, it seems to cover less stats, compared to Sofascore's.

Subzero047:
TheGoodJoe Pep will look at stats like this and pick Osimhen over Haarland?

Guardiola never benched Gabriel Jesus out for Aguero. Instead he dropped both of them and went for a false 9 formation which hammers on the point.

I won't be surprised if Pep goes for Osimhen if he maintained his current tempo till the winter transfer window.
Osimhen has age on his side, and can still get better -- a high ceiling.

How more rounded is Osimhen then?

I have made the point so simple. The points were, his wing play, work rate and defending.

In that picture you posted, you clearly proved that Osimhen offers more defensively. That there highlights the point.

You are still showing goal and assists and headers and shots which is totally devoid of the debate.

Haaland (Blue) -- Osimhen (Green)
SofaScore says otherwise in defense. I once posted a SofaScore article on what the pentagon chart means.
In summary it represents the completeness of a player, not necessarily who is a better player. SofaScore also takes into consideration the strength of the league. And if I remember quite right it considers the last two seasons giving more weight to the current. So each of the 5 points are purely stats related.

Here is the link again:

Anyways make we leave this comparison matter before we start to curse ourselves. And by the way, I hope I am not the guy that moniker is referring to as triangle bros. cheesy

Football has passed goals and assists. Explain more later in the evening.

I don't need to check stats. I watch all City games. Guardiola preferred Gabriel Jesus hands down over Aguero. It is not even worth debating. When Guardiola started benching Gabriel Jesus, it was because he preferred a false 9 formation. .

This is not from Google but watching almost every game.

Guardiola like for Grealish has to do with holding the ball in the offensive third to help ease in building attacks. .

So his primary duty is not creating goals and assisting but keeping the ball in the final third..

If Guardiola moves Grealish to the central offensive midfield, he will score loads. But, that is not the role he is needed.

Atletico are loaded offensively.. Na Someone dey play defense all the time..

What I've noticed about Atletico is that anytime they are a goal or two down in a crucial game, they always come out hot...

so google brought their stat from the space angry and what was the reason behind guardiola benching the player you claimed he loved and not until last season Jesus never had goal more than aguero that you claimed he was benching which was clear to all that he wasn't fit for up to ten matches all season wink

Excellent.

That is pure Diego Simeone. He is such a good offensive coach but chooses to play negatively, which baffles me. However, when down, you get to see some amazing football for him.

what you fail to realize is that the preference wasn't because he was performing over aguero or even Iheanacho at city but because of guardiola's sentiment on wanting to bring in his own player to build a team around.

I watch every Man city game like you and the reason Pep preferred a false 9 formation was because Gabriel Jesus was not performing, every false 9 formation Pep has ever played at Man city was because Gabriel Jesus or Aguero was not performing

forgiveness:
Osimhen is a fine player and he is going to get to the top level as expected but for now he is still coming up and not yet Haaland’s level.

Let us leave it at that and watch on.
I cannot leave it at that after seeing how Ajax is keeping him quiet tonight. Osimhen won't be shut down like this.... no way! Not the Monster Machine!! Mbanu!!!

And soon, I will show the thread just why. I had some good time on my hand today after work and I decided to use some other authoritative number/stats keepers to prove my point on Osimhen's well rounded abilities. A quick research in reference to two of the top sites I indulge when I wanna go deeper than the deep in the numbers game.

Those citing only Sofascore are limited. I have already told you that Sofascore does not take account of pressure stats or ball carries made by a striker either on the turn towards goal or from deep. Sofascore does not measure the kind of passes a player delivers...... Sofascore is good and I use it but it is damn limited. Even their Defensive rating for Haaland and Osimhen is damn wrong.... with the comprehensive stats I will drop you will see why Haaland is indeed the elite finisher of the beautiful game today and has very good passing but he falls short and in some, way short of Osimhen in other attributes.

I am coming. Food is done but I decide when it will be served. Make I finish games first...

Haaland and Osimhen rightly stay in the same sentence and soon you will see it for yourselves... (even though I know folks go still turn blind eye and argue nonsense). grin

This is TheSupernerd... don't doubt when I say there is a strong case in place to place Osimhen alongside Haaland. Both are Beasts... but of unique flavors.

Wait for it... lol
