what you fail to realize is that the preference wasn't because he was performing over aguero or even Iheanacho at city but because of guardiola's sentiment on wanting to bring in his own player to build a team around.
Gabriel Jesus beats both players hands down in work rate and defense. Gabriel Jesus is a monster in that.

I watch every Man city game like you and the reason Pep preferred a false 9 formation was because Gabriel Jesus was not performing, every false 9 formation Pep has ever played at Man city was because Gabriel Jesus or Aguero was not performing

I disagree that it was down to player performance but team performance improvement. Gabriel Jesus actually had good scoring stats but Guardiola wanted more midfield control due to teams playing deeper against us.

From what perspective do you see him dropping him?

What has he offer to the team since his 100 million move ?

De Bruyne, Gundogan, Rodri basically controls every midfield they play against, the only time Pep plays Sterling or Bernardo Silva as a false 9 are after a couple of Gabriel Jesus disasterclasses or at the absence of him and Aguero

See what I said... grin

The same Pep that popularized the false 9 role with Messi at Barca now needs a "reason" to use it at Man City!!

How much lamer can your habit of generalizing get?

You don't watch Man city so I suggest you shut up, there is no Messi at Man City so Pep has to make up for our lack of Striker prowess by putting a winger or midfielder there, a fit and firing Gabriel Jesus and Aguero has never been sacrificed for a midfielder

hear we go again bla bla work rate and defense, so all your year's of watching aguero play he looks like a tap in striker that just sit his ass in the box lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed and you claimed to have watched every city games angry even if Jesus start using coke to get power he will never get same work rate as aguero.

I think the euphoria around Osimhen is not necessarily his value but the change in value in a short time. He is the one that is talked about around town. It's just like a hot album that makes a big move up the the charts. It's staying power will determine the end narrative. So we wait as the season progresses. But right now this album is being played over the world, in every radio. There is a new R&B star, but will he win the grammies next year? Will this new album continue to sell after a year or so? How would he fair against other artistes now and in the future? These are unanswered questions. But he has fans who like fans of Usher at a time believed he was better than MJ. Or think Trey Songz versus R.kelly. Or they may not say that outright but focus on aspects that their idol is better. That's normal with a star who is hot at the moment. So don't stop the record. Let the music play on.

Well said. Understood from this apt picture you have painted, one cannot do less than to let the music play on. Ultimately the music is our music.

As in...
After that Watford game, I saw a comment from an Arab guy alleging that Salah was denied of the PL player of the month because he is Muslim..And some other Arabs supported him... Imagine trying to incite religious fights online because of a footballer!

Egypt FA even sometimes give Salah special consideration to miss their international matches...
They wanted him to play at the Olympics, but Liverpool refused and they let him be...

It isn't just Egypt self...Salah is well regarded among many people in the Arab world!!

In outsiders eyes, it’s obviously Mohammed Salah. But, Egyptians rank Aboutrika higher than Salah. It’s almost like how Epl and Nigerians rank Finidi vs osaze

I resisted wading into this matter. It could drag on and on especially when each side chooses whatever supports their narrative. it's just unnecessary. Person dey grow pass something.

I cannot leave it at that after seeing how Ajax is keeping him quiet tonight. Osimhen won't be shut down like this.... no way! Not the Monster Machine!! Mbanu!!!

And soon, I will show the thread just why. I had some good time on my hand today after work and I decided to use some other authoritative number/stats keepers to prove my point on Osimhen's well rounded abilities. A quick research in reference to two of the top sites I indulge when I wanna go deeper than the deep in the numbers game.

You make valid points, mate. But this is an outright lie.

Osimhen has closed the gap on Haaland as I predicted last year, but let's stop the over the top hype.
TheLoneCitizen:

Haaland stats are way better, in fact he has some of the best stats in the world currently, but he doesn't have enough games yet.

When Osimhen plays for Napoli who are at the same level with Dortmund, we'll compare with Haaland's first full season. Goals are great but there are other aspects of games that makes one a complete player.
