Strange Numbers Calling You And Speaking Hausa? Who Else Has Experienced It? by sweerychick(f): 5:55pm On Oct 22, 2021
Not being sentimental, but quite recently I have been receiving strange phone calls on my phone, when I pick up all I hear is " saram maleku" and the person would start communicating in Hausa language, I don't really understand Hausa nor speak it so I just hang up the call. Next minute the same number will call again and so on that you have no option than to block the number. I thought I'm the only person experiencing this until about 4 or 5 of my colleagues shared the same experience. My question is how come did they get your number and why always random calls? Anyone with a similar experience here

Lalasticlala I won't mind if this makes FP

They might been attempting cell tower triangulation of your smart phone

Could be DSS, they are arresting people who use Titus Sardine to cook stew in this hard times.

They're not calling me. I only use crayfish in my stew.

Probably fulani bandits calling looking to see whom they can kidnap next. Who knows. Nigeria right now is a scary place so anything is possible.

I think it's one of the woes of recycling lost SIM cards.
On my MTN and Airtel lines, I've experienced it countless times. Now I just don't bother answering calls from numbers not saved as a contact.

98% Northerners(NE, NW and NC(Niger and Nasarawa State) are deeply immersed in Ba'a Turenche(No English). I think their leaders don't want a literate society. You will be forced to learn Hausa just to communicate with them. So Op, I think they used to calling wrong number because of high illiteracy rate among them. Too bad

Ab0ki and wrong number are like 5 and 6.

One even submitted my number to his bank and anytime he withdraws 2k, I get an alert for it.

Had to go to the bank in question and tell them to stop sending me Abdullahi's debit and credit alerts.

Whats there to like about snakes?

And FYI, its not only the Igbo and Yoruba. Even the Awusa now hates the fulan.

Every National in this multicultural cesspit is now united in fulani hatred.

Why? Because the Fulani has shown to be a heartless bloodletting criminal, drug feign, serial rapist and kidnapper for ransome.

I asked my friends from the North. Here is the explanation.

They said first, most of his people are not educated which causes the wrong pronunciation of numbers both from the giver and dialler. That it is always better to write the numbers for them than call it for them, which could cause the issue you are experiencing.

Next time when they call you, just tell them bah wrong number...they will understand and apologise.

Most northerners don't know how to read and write. When they want to type a particular number they type the wrong ones. That's why they call random numbers. They being allowed to gain admission into universities with a JAMB score of 27 is not for nothing.
