Yorubas, lucumi or nangos whatever the name the British calls them doesn't invalidate the fact that they were an ethnic group of millions of people sharing similar genes, language and culture, and before the British came over they managed to build an empire that lasted over a hundred years, we may have not been as developed as the British due to demographic and geographical factors but it doesn't mean our relevance was insignificant.

The day indigenious Nigerians (Yoruba, Fulani, Hausa, Igbo) become minority in their own country Nigeria, that's when Nigeria will progress. Benin civilization talked about is not solely Benin. Benin empire had urhobos, Benin, isoko, ijaws, Delta igbos, itsekiri and part of ondo under the oba of Benin.

If you look at developed nations,the population demography is such that non indigenes make up not less than 60 percent of the population. The USA only indigenous population are red skinned indians in the state of Oklahoma. Every other person came from elsewhere.

If you look at Australia, new Zealand, UK and many other European nations, migrant population dominate all of them.
