Rivers United and Enyimba are our only hopes as of now but Rivers are really against the ropes.

Onyeka too can play that role. However, it is disrespectful comparing Aribo/Etebo/Micheal to a guy playing in one obscure league. Aribo is playing right now, you can tune in! Nevertheless, Onyedika, Issaq, Amoo, and Nwakali will be a good addition. The bottom line is we have the players to compete!

I am talking about being in possession of the skill sets required for the role.
We don't need guys whose main occupation is just to recycle possession (and sometimes lose it).

League quality is never in the fore when a player's skill set is under consideration.

Yekini today is being celebrated as d best striker Nigeria ever had simply because of his goalscoring achievement,WC after many years ,d record is yet to be broken and not oda attributes of a striker...till today,we re still looking for dt player who will break his records and not someone who will break his defensive aspect as a player

30/35years to dis time, haaland and Osimhen would be remembered by dier goalscoring achievements and nothing more ,when d comparison talks rise again, nobody by den would remember deir defensive or oda attribute stat(oda things to b considered are d personal awards/trophies;if any 4 both players).

Not all the time that goals can b used to judge strikers.
Kanu scored less goals than almost all our previous strikers,
but today he is still more celebreted more than d other strikers,
Ayegbeni,siasia,martins,agwahowa,etc.
All have higher career goals than kanu.

If osimhen happens to win league tittles,AFCON,World cup and some individual awards,
he would b considered to be better player than haaland even when haaland end up with higher career goals.

I rate goals by it's impacts not just numbers,
kanu n drogba don't dont have high goal stats but they score very important goals that's y they were considered better than others.

Not everytime goals can be used to judge strikers in the Nigerian sentimental dictionary

People just love Kanu naturally and that’s all ,and don’t forget about the Olympic 96 win ,so Kanu is loved

if osimhen is not scoring goals he won’t be celebrated

Read my comments again..dere is no point dragging dis..u want to sound reasonable, at d end confusing ursef...an unbiased reader would easily grab my point.. All dis one u re saying is not d point of discuss.

D yekini example I used is enuf to clarify everything. .as if yekini goals were not impactful grin grin grin

So na KANU 12goals dey more impactful Dan yekinis 37goals grin grin grin..abeg rest

He has also played like this in previous games. He has been consistent. Only reason he has not been getting 90 minutes is that Forss is also a very good player and has to get gametime.

Kanu is a creative layer that is all. He had many assists and preassists for Nigeria.
I remember his hattrick of assists against Tunisia in 2000 and his assist in afcon 2004 against Camerroon.
He also had many instances where he broke down a defense somebody took a shot at goal, the goalkeeer
saved it and someone else scored from the rebound.
A foolish stat will give the assist to the person that took the shot and not Kanu that broke the
defence with a defence splitting pass.
Kanu was the basis of our wins a lot of times.
Most footballing stats can be foolish and dumb and sometimes outright wrong in the hands of a novice

What does cr7 does apart from scoring goals and pk ?

Cr7 fit Dey match 88 minutes e no go do anything but before you know e go score tapin equalizer or nodding and score penalty to win the game and collect MOTM award grin

Na all these things e Dey do wey people take Dey compare am to Messi wey Dey do everything for field grin
Ronaldo of man and his early days at madrid was not just about tap in n panalties,he was a monster, both in skills n everything,
sometimes his skills n dribbles r excessive n outrgeous in those days.
i'm not his fan but let truth b told.

Brentford was the best team at the first half and Leicester city players hardly hold the ball so I don’t know what nacho should have done without holding the ball
