Their only defense is that the book is this and that..... The book is not in contention here, I rated the plot of the movie based on my own personal opinion which last I checked, I was still entitled to.

Perhaps the movie makers should have elaborated more on the underlying peculiarities of the whole storyline instead of making the whole movie a weak plotted B-movie with top tier visual effects and A-cast.





Don't know when watching movies became a strenuous project where I have to spend days, weeks or even months reading series of books because I want to understand a movie of less than 3 hours.
If I had applied such dedication to my academics, will I be so poor here today ravaging the high seas before watching blockbusters?
