What the guy did is very wrong, but in the face of the law he has commited no crime. He has no case to answer. In Criminal Code, you can't even charge a man to court because you caught him sleeping with a married woman talkless of calling a woman bae. This case will not hold water in court.
Section 249(d) CC stated that idle and disorderly person is any person who in any public place, conduct himself in any manner likely to cause breach of peace.
They will argue in court if WhatsApp is a public place and if what he did was likely to cause breach of peace in public.
Take note of the word "Public".

It is not everything that is deemed capable of breaching peace that is a crime. In fact, anything can be deemed capable of breeching peace. A girl with a big ass who wears a tight skirt into a restaurant full of married people can be said to have worn apparels capable of breaching the peace of all or some of the couples, but does this make the wearing of tight trousers a crime?


Honestly, this arrest is laughable, and a big shame. Hopefully, no foreigner here on Nairaland gets to see it. Because, we will be a laughing stock.

No white woman will take you to court for calling her babe.

The highest she can do is sue you, because it is a civil matter, and no one has the time (with all the cases that there are) to listen to such frivolous matters.

Matters like that end up in courts such as are held by Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown.
