humility33:He had like 4 or 5 today. The chances are there he just has to take them. I do feel they could speed up their passing at times but u could even see today at the end that they were focusing on getting him his goal. Napoli is a good team top to bottom but the problem is that everyone is actually a star in their own right and they go the me route sometimes instead of trusting Osimhen. I think insigne had like 18 goals last season, he would naturally want that to continue. Sacrifice comes with time. Even Messi took some time before giving the 9 position to Suarez. |

Tolulopefinest:Salah has 15 goals so far Osimehn has 9 and awoniyi 12. As a coach, you shouldn’t be downplaying your team |

Subzero047: I am making you understand what the term modern football means. Is Amunike trying to teach the coaches how to park bus or his teaching them the revolutionary approach in coaching the game today. When we talk of Cruyff being the father and inventor of the modern game, is it park bus being referred to or defending and counter attacking? People like Pep, Klopp, Tuchel, Erik Ten Hag are pure disciples of the modern football. |

andrewbaba44:Don’t mind them. They’re what we call yes men. Instead of them advising him to work on his weakness I.e positioning in tight space, missing easy chances you’re suggesting that he leaves a good team. Yes men are one of the worse kind of people that you need in order to suceed |

Subzero047:With Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona, Spain in effect invented modern football, took the press‑and‑possess game to previously unimagined levels. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2021/jun/28/luis-enrique-chaos-anxieties-quest-spain-new-way-euro-2020-croatia I believe we need to play in this pattern of the modern game and Rhor can't offer it. |

12large1:Saying Haaland will struggle to score at Napoli doesn’t make sense He should go and watch sampdoria that’s less creative than Napoli and tell me how a 36 year old Fabio quaglialeria was able to out score cr7 who plays for a more better and creative juve then |

TheGoodJoe:I disagree with you, what pep and his Barca team did was exactly the same with Ajax team of the 70s which is total football It was cruyff that imbibed the style of play to Barca when he took charge of the team right from the teams academy Tiki taka originated from Ajax |

TheGoodJoe:Modern football is not possessive football infact very few teams play possessive football, Atletico won their league with defensive football, Inter won with Counter attacking football, teams will continue to play and have success with football styles that are not possessive football the problem is that you are unaware of a whole lot of football outside possessive football, so no Amunike being a disciple of possessive football is not a qualification he has to show his mettle on the pitch |

andrewbaba44:must you bring cr7 to your augument? Just trying so hard to discredit and talk down on the Portuguese great at any slighted opportunity Quagararilla out scored CR7 in his first season in Italy which we all accept put does that rob off all the latter have achieved in his career both in club and international football? Or because the Italian out scored him in a single season makes the Italian better? If you own or manage a club and you are given a chance to pick quagrarela and cr7 who will you been if you aren’t biased? |

charlesemeka85:So I should not make example with cr7 ? Who is comparing the both players ,why are you acting childish self or can’t you comprehend my example ,so saying Fabio outscored Cr7 means I am comparing both players ? See as small thing Dey trigger you ,I can use cr7 to give any examples I like because he is a great player ,immobile also outscore him as both of them are stat padding merchants , penaldo penmobile Anyway Moses Simon has more assist than Lionel Messi in Ligue 1 ,Moses Simon is a better player than Lionel Messi ![]() Oya rest |

It is delusional comparing club football to the National team! The fulcrum of that Barca team played for Spain! Name any other National team that plays that way? Or is it only Amuneke that studied coaching in Spain? He couldn't succeed at the Under-20 level with some of the most talented players at that time. He was unsuccessful with the Tanzania National team. But with the SE he will be successful based on what data? Oh! calling Iniesta and Xavi out of retirement to play for him or spending billions of dollars to purchase the best players in the world to play for the Super Eagles! I don't understand you! andrewbaba44:all I asked is must you bring up cr7 in the augument Indirectly you ridiculed or made mockery of him being outscored by an older player That’s not nice. Always recognize and give credit to whoever that have worked hard to achieve it Messi is yet to score in lowly rated ligue 1 but that doesn’t imply that he is no longer one of the greatest if not the greatest ever Maybe u fit use Simon who has more assist than the Argentine great in ligue 1 as an example or reference next time |

fabyom:For start, why do you think Belgium hired Roberto Martinez as coach? What do you think Joachim Lowe's success was built on. From day one, he hammered on the benefit of understanding zone play to their success. Roberto Mancini brought a modern strategy touch to the Italian team and they have been successful. |

There was actually a mild altercation between Osimhen and insignie Around the 60 ' min, when the contact between Mbaye and Victor Osimhen prompted the referee Serra to grant the second penalty kick of the match, the Nigerian striker experienced some not-so-happy moments with Lorenzo Insigne. Approaching the captain of Napoli, Osimhen did not take well the choice of the same Insigne not to leave him the penalty.. Napoli rejoices, goes 3-0 against Bologna, but Osimhen is not celebrating with Insigne, who coldly slots the ball home. In the end, however, issues that will be clarified in the locker room after the match.. in insignis voice, "Osimhen you don forget when you thief my goal"? ![]() |

fabyom: You are doing what I term ranting and attacking. Now let us take it easy. Keep your sentiments and ill feelings apart our local team coaches aside. First of all, I don't look at qualification or short term results. I always look in the long term. I think I have been on this forum for too long to show that. When people ran Mikel down, calling him Slowbi, I told guys a phenom was in there. When people called Nacho no more quality, I resisted many. On this thread people argued Guardiola will not succeed, I disagreed. Osimhen is another case. I keep sentiments aside and always look at the bigger picture. Now to Amunike's U20 team. They were the worst treated team in the history of youth football. Those boys suffered but on thing was clear, they were good. Amunike built that team on the modern passing strategy. They played over 50 games and only lost one. one game. Unfortunatelyl, that team did not qualify. Like you, you will hinge on they did not qualify but I looked at the fact that this team played over 50 games and only lost one. That was a special team. Why did they lose? They were put on a bad pitch in the rainy season. The pitch was flooded and the team could not play with their main strength. I will never look at the small picture like above but the big picture. That team was special. |

TheGoodJoe:joachim Lowe’s success with the national team was a result of continuity. It took him years to groom that German team with a certain brand of football. He even started as an assistant to his predecessor and built his team with a crop of talented young german players fresh from the U21 who were one of the best in that age group in Europe The team progressed right from the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa before winning the title 4 years later in Brazil That was mostly possible due to continuity with almost 70% of the players he started working with at a young age when he took charge Having the right type of players in international players helps in building a compact team. Mostly the type of players any coach inherits or has in his disposal helps in perfecting the style he wishes to use Total football or tiki taka as currently called is best suited for a team that is blessed with highly skilled, mobile and technical players not carpenters Also mancini is doing same with the Italian national team and it’s working for him because currently Italy is blessed with technical and talented young players that can’t be compared to the ones they had after their 2006 World Cup triumph where almost 80% of the team retired after the tournament |

nairalandankrah: Osimhen should not break his head too much with the goal stats. He should leave the penalty for Insigne. He wants to stay king of Napoli and Osimhen is getting so much love. For now, Osimhen should still have a hungry growing mentality to make the team win. Keep contributing and with time, he will grow to the status of playing the penalties. Goals will come. |

charlesemeka85:Rhor has had over five years. What more time do we need? Or we can not achieve it? Also, are we not a team with highly skilled and technical players? They are just not being used the right way. To achieve= that status of success, means a change in direction and working towards it. If it took Germany years, we need to stop playing around and start working towards it. |

charlesemeka85: I never argued that. What happened is that Guardiola and his set are fulfilling the revolution. We have most English, Belgian, German, and even Italian teams adopting it now. Even Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other Asian countries embrace the modern game. Guardiola and co. have made it essential and are the crust of its success. |

TheGoodJoe:I never told you rohr has done marvelously well with the team but the amuneke you are projecting for the job just because he played in Barca or was trained there as a coach is not the best option My reason is because local coaches can easily be induced with bribe, moreover he needs to do more by getting to work with any local club or national team where his performances if good will make a better case for him to be considered Keshi did well with Benin republic but became more attractive to the football house with his work in Mali which made his earlier work in Benin not to seem as mere luck |

TheGoodJoe:it wasn’t guordiola and others that made it essential but van gal with his ucl Ajax team in 1996 That has been his style in all the teams he coached even till date and while it worked out for him in some it didn’t work out in others The job was a bit easier for pep because he was opportuned to have in his disposal then one of the most talented graduate set out from la masia and have made it a known point that he only join teams that can afford him the qualities to perfect his game style Do you think pep will achieve same feat with this current Barca team or they don’t play tiki taka anymore? |

Do you see why people dislike this coach for his lack of believe? How can you watch Osimehn this season and Ndidi and say that we don’t have players in the form of mane and Salah?? You’re indirectly showing lack of believe in your players
