Thanks to all those who left their best wishes. God bless y'all.

I've unfollowed this thread so won't see any more nasty comments.

One step at a time. First, congratulate him on this step. Most of his mates are also out doing drugs.

I’m one proud mama right now.

My 20-year-old son, Phillip ran a half-marathon (13 miles) this morning to raise funds for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, UK. They look after terminally ill babies.

He completed the race in just over 2 hours.

My selfless son, a University student, gave up his evenings to train and raise money for a hospice he has no personal link to.

Black boys (in the UK) usually have a bad rap so let’s commend a good deed when we see it. Thank you.
this is commendable

He said his legs are numb but after a good sleep and a hot bath, he'll recover.

I've googled it and why on earth would anyone want to 'Kweff' him for running a marathon? He's well known and well liked.

Maybe you need to question your judgement as a mother if this is "selfless" to you. People do this every day. I'm sure at least half of those who ran the marathon did it for charity purposes. If this is new or surprising to you, you certainly have been demonstrating bad, selfish judgements all these years. Thank God your son is different.
