Note the highlighted in red, that's the secret of the verse telling God's children that the verse is symbolic. For your information the symbolic heavens means "human government" the symbolic earth means their "faithless subjects" and the sea that will no more exist means people tossed about with all kinds of theories! Isaiah 57:20

I've shown you where God said many will not get the sense of His words {Daniel 12:10} and before then the Bible made us to understand that Jesus is the word of God {John 1:1} which means in the spirit realms Jesus is the person through whom Bible writers were getting all the inspiration from God.
Now Jesus is a person who always teach with PARABLES {Matthew 13:13} this Jesus is still the same person {Hebrews 13:8} so don't expect the words to be easily understood by arrogant people like you who won't accept to learn the meaning of those PARABLES! Matthew 13:34-35

Well the Bible is not a message for all kinds of people {2Thessalonians 3:2} it's for humble people who love to seek righteousness! Zephaniah 2:2-3
So if you don't want to learn then forget about the Bible because you'll never understand this book and when you fail to grasp it's message of course you will end up saying it makes no sense, but the Author (God) promised that those who understands this book will see a sign:

LOVE doesn't expect perfect humans rather it covers a multitude of blunders:

"Above all things, have intense love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins" 1Peter 4:8

Whereas those who have no LOVE will pick up weapons and start killing one another! Revelations 6:3-4

So think like a normal human being, there can be blunders in the case of imperfect humans but a family will always remain a family!
