Soludo, Uba, Ozigbo Hug One Another At Anambra Gubernatorial Debate (Photos, Video)

After the battle of words between Andy Uba, Valentine Ozigbo and Charles Soludo, at the Arise TV gubernatorial debate, the three Anambra gubernatorial aspirants later hugged one another at the end of the debate, IgbereTV reports.

But Soludo's statement to Andy Uba at the point of exchange of pleasantries should be a huge take home for every Nigerian politician.

He said, "nothing personal, be anyi ka anyi n'azo", meaning: "It is our home that we are fighting for."

It will be a tragedy and a big opportunity missed to have Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo on ballot paper and neglect him. The Soludo Solution has been long on the way facing several hurdles since 2009. Now it is finally here.

Kudos to Gov. Obiano for conscientiously sacrificing numerous political relationships and breaking hearts in the overall long-term interests of Ndi Anambra.

Chukwuma Soludo beat those two greenhorns hands down. He showed both the intellectual and political wit and stamina required for the job. Uba on the other hand looked dazed after the debate and Soludo had to hug him in consolation.

The next couple of days is going to be interesting.

The debate is over.

One can arrive at any conclusions he or she deems fit.

However, one cannot help but recall that the present president refused to have a presidential debate.

What's glaring now is that he nepotistic tendencies and religious predisposition would have been exposed.

Better jettison this no election bullshit if u don't want another Supreme Court governor in Anambra. Not comming out to vote will give APC the free hand to rig in Uba. Una better use una head.

I am not from the East; but I believe Prof Soludo will become a better governor of Anambra State than the other candidates, going by his antecedents as a former CBN governor.

He brought a lot of innovations in the financial sector, particularly the recapitalization of the banks and insurance companies. He also brought the idea of decimalisation of our currency against the USD, which was largely rejected by the northern hegemony. I think he was also the brain behind the National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS), during the OBJ administration.

So, Prof Soludo has been tested and trusted! However, we can still settle the matter right here for us to have an inkling of what to expect on Saturday.
