Is it normal to still be rescuing for over 24hours? How do they expect to still recover people alive Why are they slow like this |

Annie001:it is not something that can be rushed. They need to be careful so as not to crush those trapped underneath while removing the debris. This can take up to a week or more. |

Since I have been reading about this building collapse, I never see where anyone mentioned Dangote and other cement manufacturers as d major people responsible for 5his collapse. If they take all these cement to lab to test. They will see d cements are substandard. If the cement is good. Building can't collapse just like that. Dangote should be called out too. |

This is very sad o. Very very sad. More than sad. What will their families do? So sad. I'm soooo angry at the system right now. Another will happen and yet another. We are a people who never learn from our mistakes. RIP to the men who died under the debris. Your death is more honourable than the ones who died in a hotel servicing their mistresses. I shed a tear for you cause you really really died in active service. |

LifeOfTrigga: Hard to understand much of the English you typed man. But those last two sentences is one reason Nigeria is still where it is. The idea that one is entitled to a relative or someone else's income or money. Go work for you own money man. That's the principle that's made great nations prosper and advance. Dashing money here and there will continue to improvish Nigeria. Like you Yorubas say " one rich man in the midst of poor people will soon be poor himself " 4 Likes |

babzo: Bro dashing money is different from helping someone out of a big problem! No be dashing them ask m, but to help when it involves real deal like hospital bills or school fees or maybe something important the person can’t afford then! You never see where man go ask for help about a sick mother from a Rich family member and him talk say e no get! But gbam the sick mother later died and Na them show up with bundle of cash’s for the burial. You just be fool, you dey talk like person Wey never see life and I pray life no hold you! Omo you just dey type like say Na ur family Femi be You go stingy gan 2 Likes |

LifeOfTrigga: Still the same thing man. So people only dash for hospital and school fees? Seriously? Be real man. And you that gave birth to children, why didn't you plan for their school fees all the years they were growing up? You have kids and want someone else to take care of them? And for health, what happened to health insurance? I know class groups (alumni) who pay group insurance with 12k a year that covers almost everything if they get sick. Of course, Insurance is what you do when you well, before you get sick. But you people will always spend your money on beer, suya and clothes and be expecting one rich relative to dash you money to flenjure Go work man. Let's make Nigeria great. 1 Like |

perambulator: This is why I personally feel suspending the GM Lasbaca ( though a smart and good move) is not the solution, the officers, Head of Lasbaca for VI, all those ones that do inspection too should be sanctioned. But then again looking at the location Osborne even if a level 8 monitoring officer reports to his District boss that this house is not fit enough and has flouted what was approved would the head do anything ?no, not because he doesn't know what is right but because those who own houses in that location are very very rich and most likely close to people in the corridor of power so everybody will just fem, nobody wants to get a query for doing what is right so most times they look away. I am not ruling out the officers collecting money from the developer, to some of these people they will be like 'its not like anything will be done to him, we will write our report , we know nothing will be done because of the calibre of people involved let's collect it and look away' . Now let's even assume the boss is a zealous one, once he begins to make moves to seal the building calls begin to come in from any and everywhere , pressure will be much and the guy who doesnt want to offend people that matter will let it slide ,Mr Governor won't be there that time oooo. Its a deep cycle, a mess the Nigerian system does not even permit you to do the right thing most of the time even when you do, depending on who is involved, nothing may come out of it. Our problem is systemic.Until anybody that flouts the law can get sanctioned without fear of harassing the officers that did the job we won't move ahead in times of compliance. People who work in govt agencies especially regulatory agencies will understand perfectly |

Lagos has never really had a governor after Pa Lateef Jakande. What Lagos has had at best are cronies whose stock-in-trade are gaslighting and make-believe. Memo that carries vital information such as 'baba so pe' is the SOP used in running the state civil service. The civil service, agencies and councils are the cesspits of unprecedented pillaging of the state resources. Lagos is the cash cow of evil politicians. |

Well, I will advice you to go through his text again......from his quote, you will realize he used the word ( from what he heard ) so that means he didn't say it directly....he only said what he heard and as to regard the stinginess, well I don't think he has seeked for his help as well ...so, please read comments properly before quoting. Lastly, you said did they keep money in his pocket? Wow......that's extremely bad word to use, even though no matter how u help people, they will still say u never helped. But, mind you....if you have today, you were given so you can assist others too and that's why the white has something called "HELPER" and "PHILANTHROPIST" listed inside the dictionary. babzo: |

Le2money: From what he heard? So spreading rumours or bearing false witness? Which helper does the white have and which philanthropist is that that dashes money here and there? No they have a system where everyone who works pays taxes to the government and the government helps those who can't help themselves or out of work. Even those out of work, when they were working were contributing to the pool of employment insurance so that incase they loose their jobs, they can be paid something. Key thing is EVERYONE works and pays taxes. People with two hands and legs don't go around begging from relatives. You live according to your income. Someone with no income has 3 phones, buys party dress, what nonsense is that. |

shigishege: There is no God, stop wasting your time. White people don’t believe in God yet they take great care so such disasters rarely happen and make sure there are heavy consequences for those responsible whenever there is a tragedy like this as a means of preventing a reoccurrence. That is why they rarely experience such tragedies but in the Jesus loving and Allah worshipping country of Nigeria, they make no efforts whatsoever yet expect their “Almighty” to come down from heaven and perform miracles. |
