SonofDevil:My own is that the coincidence is too baffling. He just arrived there and moments later the building collapsed. Well, just saying. |

vanbonattel: This has been on my mind but didn't want to sound inhuman. If it were to be only the labourers that are involved, you will see some useless condolence drama but one thing that is good about the whole is that almost all the major stakeholders in the fraudulent deal were involved. How will they enjoy the mega profit the wanted to make by fraud now? I hope other developers will learn from this! |

ddippset:I tire o. Nigerians like chasing shadows. Like one man is on the road taking bribes Adjusting scale just to cheat Changing figures Buying votes Selling votes Cutting corners Turning blind eyes to injustice going on in his vicinity. Every Nigerian that refuses to do the right and legal things in Nigeria is part of those ruining this country! Before blaming anyone, ask yourself, are you doing the right thing as a citizen? |
What a sad end to his life!! This is nothing but an unfortunate and a pathetic national loss. The professional that was in charge of the construction resigned from the work when the developer would not listen to his professional advice. The Lagos Building Control Agency came out to say the building was approved for 15 floors but the builder kept on moving up to 21 floors. It’s unfortunate that Nigeria is recording this huge loss despite the economic depression that we are in. We hope the government will wake up. May the souls of all the departed Rest In Perfect Peace.
This quote actually arose something in me. 'May the souls of the departed rest in peace' When i eas much younger.in the days of our time and the block rosemary, one of our paramount prayers then was 'may the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace' But after reading this quote of yours and probably under the influence of the natural herb God created and with the revelation of the the holy spirit, i came to really understand the true meaning of that statement. The faithful souls do not need our prayers to see God! Those that died without truely and consciously submitting to christ actually needs the prayers of the church! This quote of yours opened my eyes to that..thanks brother. May God continue to increase his wisdom in you |

I still blame Lagos State government officials. They could have prevented this but ... go to court. Take it up to the governor. No one man is bigger than justice. Corruption everywhere. Officials whose salaries are less N100k go to work with an aim of making millions by collecting bribes. Millionaire government workers fill many government offices. Until Nigeria begins to fight corruption for real |

vanbonattel:All those who have taken bribes, cheated others in dealings and contributed to societal decay should all fall asleep, never to wake up again. Ameen. Because they also contributed to the downfall of Nigeria. |

CharleyBright:I agree with you on the accident happening now than after completion of the job it would have been a national tragic on a larger scale, but about the man dying in the collapse in my view he would have preferred to escape the mishap because this is naija....the lekki garden owner is he in prison?, the SCOAN incident has the case been concluded?......one thing I know is that karma exist. |

Now, this is the type of country we all are a citizen of, weirdo A country where bribery & corruption is the order of the day. All the regulatory bodies now collect bribes and turn a blind eye to their regulatory duties. A country where fake materials are openly displayed for sale and the seller will even be bold to tell you this one is fake and the other one is original... What a shame of a country we live in. We all are a party to this failed system not the Nigerian Police only... Everyone of us are culpable. May the soul of the departed R.I.P. |

Spiritual Reflection Bible Book Of Ecclesiastes chapter 9: 11, 12 11 I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all. 12 For man does not know his time. Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them. Building collapse is not a new thing, even during the time of Jesus Christ such event occurred, for which he made a mention at Bible book of Luke chapter 13 verse 4 where 18 person died,. he spoke about their death in an illustrative way, for persons to repent from his or her evil ways before unforeseen circumstance occurred, read verse 5. NOT IS THE ACCEPTABLE TIME FOR TOMMOROW MAY NEVER BE. In such circumstances one need not to speak evil towards any person who lost there life in such a catastrophic occurrence., from hardworking men and women who went out there to seek for their bread and butter to developers and investors. KNOW more about why God allow evil things to happen, and get to know the answers at https://jw.org |

Silentmoni:A letter Channels Investigated and found the address is fake and the phone numbers don't work. So the "professionals" have already investigated and found the cause? That must be a world record. You accuse a man of not following the right protocol to erect the building and you are all doing the same thing you condemned. Coming to a conclusion without proper protocol? When did your committee sit to determine the cause? What equipment was used to test the strength of the concrete? At what point did you investigate the foundation? Have you gone through the materials procurement documents? |

Watch how the attribution of blames will heap on the man. The government finally got their aim. We’ll now hear how all his past projects were doomed from start, he could never satisfy his wife romantically and his many corrupt business dealings. I pity whoever he has left to defend him because at this point people want to hear anything tarnishing regarding his name, no form of redeeming qualities whatsoever. |

I have been sad and at the same time furious over this incident since I heard about it. If the developer have followed due process, imagine the economy of scale on families, Lagos and Nigeria in general but right now we are witnessing an avoidable loss of lives and financial loss. This is failure of governance. If there had been check and balances these could all be avoided. Someone or a group of people were obviously bribed to turn a blind eyes to what was going on. I had hope against all hopes that the developer survived to see the consequences of his actions . I watched one of Osibona's interviews and he said he wants to be the first person to build a 21st story building in Nigeria. He was a victim of his ambition. He was a victim of his ego. He was a victim of his dream. He didn't have enough to fulfill his ambition because if he has, that building wouldn't have come crashing. When lives are on the line, your dreams, your ambition and your ego must always take the back seat. |
