The North Wants The SE To Remain In Nigeria Because Of Its Huge Gas Deposits by gartamanta: 9:54am On Nov 05, 2021 |
The world is gradually turning away from fossil fuel. In just 9 years time, 2030, most countries in Europe will ban the sale of diesel and petrol cars. In less than 20 years time, crude oil will be a worthless product. As the world turns to alternative sources of clean energy, gas is set to be a gold mine The South East of Nigeria is sitting on top of trillions of cubic feet of natural gas, making it it an area with one of the largest gas deposits in Africa. Northern Nigeria is already thinking about that gas money and they want a chunk of it. As calls to secede increase amongs Igbos in the South East and South South, gas is going to play a major role in the decision to secede or allow secession One of the biggest reasons why the North will stand against secession is the gas deposits in the South East 12 Likes |

Igbo gas whether in the SE, SS, NC belongs to Igbo nation and for our development. No one kg of it will go to Nigeria. FG should get ready for anything they want. They used our COAL. They used our OIL. We wouldn't allow them to use our GAS! Let them do anyhow and they will see anyhow. 14 Likes 1 Share |

gartamanta: YOU ARE A THIEF, PROJECTING YOUR GREED UNTO OTHERS. If your headline is true, why did the Buhari govt offer Kanu the 5 SE states to form his 'Biafra'? An offer he refused because it did not include Rivers State! Benue state too! https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/rejected-biafra-5-igbo-states-nnamdi-kanu/ THIEVES. MAKE UNA COME CARRY NIGERIA'S OIL THIEF NA. Of course Kanu knows that it takes billions of dollars of investment over many years to develop gas infrastructure to commercial levels. That's why he doesn't value those ''huge gas reserves'' as much as the Niger Delta crude oil, which is 'Money Now'. |

PROUDIGBO:Why are you guys always attaching yourself to the South South sef? Can't you speak for your Geopolitical region alone? Southern Nigeria, South Eastern Nigeria are both the creation of the British If the British didn't merge us together, you will be in Alaigbo republic, while the ijaws, Ogonis, Annang, Binis etc will also be an indepenpent country. 3 Likes |

DubaiLandLord1: Will you zip that useless mouth of yours! The guy asked where the gas deposits are....i told him.....you saw south-east and south-south mentioned in the same sentence, and almost had a heart attack! Just WTF do you feel threatened when a commonality of purpose occurs between ethnicities that made up the old Eastern Region!? What are you scared of that you don’t see when ‘the north’ or ‘one Nigeria’ are mentioned!? What’s you own ethnicity in this south-south? Do you know i’m also from the south-south!? I put it to you that either you’re a useless ex-militant from the Niger-Delta feeding fat on the proceeds of oil bunkering and/or 30,000 amnesty payments.....or you’re a greedy, shameless impostor from the core muslim north, that’s afraid if ethnicities that made up the old Eastern Region speak with one voice, one thing may lead to another, and would eventually culminate in them leaving your hateful, bigoted, jihadist and bloodthirsty ass behind to form your own Arewa Republic! Which one are you!? 1 Like |

There are more natural resources in Kaduna State alone than in the entire South East The gift of the South East is Industrious and innovative Population If it was the SS that was talking that would have been a different matter entirely |

PROUDIGBO:Shut up your dirty mouth jawe Always shouting Eastern region up and down, as if the Eastern region was existing before the arrival of the white man. Without Nigeria, there will be nothing called the Eastern region. DubaiLandLord1: You dig a even deeper hole and sink lower into the sewer with each subsequent daft post you make on this issue! Diseased swine....i just told you i’m equally from that south-south you’re bleating shouldn’t be ‘attached’ to south-east, so just what point are you trying to make!? I dare you to tell me the unfortunate ethnicity that spat you out! Go on, say it! You see why i say you’re eminently daft! The Eastern Region didn’t exist before the arrival of the white man, but your useless ‘one Nigeria’ that you’re using to enslave unwilling peoples existed abi!? You know there has been interaction and cooperation between ethnic grps in the east way before Lugard was born? What interaction did a Igbo, Efik or Ogoni have with the Fulani caliphate or Kanem-Borno empire 200 years ago that warrants our being tethered together in one country like we are today!? We have absolutely nothing in common with each other! You talk of ‘south-south’ and ‘south-east’ as if we don’t know they’re recent creations of not more than 25 years! The Eastern Region even predates the creation of Rivers and Cross-Rivers states, and their borders were arbitrarily delineated by Igbo haters out to separate blood-brothers, shrink our territory and deny us access to the sea! Everyone knows this, so one wonders where and how you get the impression the south-south and south-east are two ‘distinct’ and disparate entities with nothing in common.....two parallel lines that’ll never meet! Without Nigeria, they’d be nothing like Eastern Region.....you’re right on that score! I suppose with Nigeria, they’d still be ‘south-south’ abi!? In any case, given the shared history and centuries-old interaction between ethnic grps that make up the old Eastern Region, i’d go out on a limb and posit that had Nigeria (and Cameroon) not existed and ethnic grps came together organically to form nations, that Biafra would have come about in one form or the other....even stretching into present day Cameroon! You know Adaka Boro was voted student union president at UNN in the 60s? I feel the guy was probably teleguided by outside forces for whatever reason.....or he was just as naive and idealistic as Nzeogwu! What was the basis for his seeking the Niger-Delta republic? We’re his people being slaughtered and their resources plundered by outside colonising forces like we see happening in the south-south and south-east today? Remember the then Eastern Region and its gov’t was barely 6 years old, and there were bound to be teething problems for such a new political entity! Given time i reckon some of their genuine grievances would have been addressed! Also, could you tell us the limits (boundaries) of this declared Niger-Delta republic and where its capital was located? |
