Help I have gotten into serious issues with my phone.
So i got this fairly used Samsung galaxy s9 plus(sm-g965f exynos version) stuck on android 9 that won't update to android 10 via settings, so i decided to do it manually by downloading the latest stock rom that is based on android 10 and flashed it using odin. I made sure i downloaded the version compatible with my phone's software and followed guide on flashing very carefully.

After flashing, everything works well except that i can't make/receive calls, i always receive a respond of "Not REGISTERED ON NETWORK". I can't even browse unless I'm connected to a wifi. My imei status is showing "NG" instead of "OK" in service mode(*#0011#), my phone detects my simcard but doesn't show network. it's always displaying "emergency".

I have been flashing my previous Samsung phones myself, i have never encountered anything like this.

So After a long research online I've come to know that the flashing might have messed up my phone's EFS folder which contains my connectivity information like IMEI , WIFI, BLUETOOTH Etc. Even though it's rare, it can still happen especially if one flashes a custom rom. I don't still understand why it happened being i flashed an official Samsung rom.

I read that if an EFS file is corrupted, a phone's imei number can get wiped, but my imei isn't blank(i can see my imei number when i dial *#06#) everything is normal except for that network issue.

I have reflashed the rom several times, tried several troubleshooting and followed almost all tutorials online regarding to this issue but to no avail. I'm so so confused. Bosses in the house what do i do? This is a phone i bought just last week oo.. abeg make person help me!

You didn't create a backup before flashing?

Sorry to bother u. But in case you don't find a solution, I'll be interested in buying the screen. Thank you.

Wonder y u should be an engineer as u claim and u never know about EFS file partition on Samsung .
Well just get the exact phone with same variant,Flash a custom recovery (TWRP) on the phone and back up the EFS file .
After that,do same for ur phone,Then transfer the EFS file to ur phone and your the restore swipe on the TWRP menu.
Just do google research to help u better.

Well, I took it to an engineer and got it fixed.. I was charged 8k.
