Subzero047:Oga it's simple,Watford saw Maduka as a perfect replacement for aging Forster and the only way out is to make the signing ASAP to ward off other clubs who might be interested in Maduka. Pinnick influenced?no o abi na under G. agent Pinnick be..... |

Kog45:How do you think Watford saw Maduka at Rotherham? agents and football influencers like Pinnick pitch these things to club officials at meetings that's how Ferguson influenced Cr7 coming to Man U deals like these don't fall out from the sky |

humility33:Agents and football influencers pitch players and sometimes exchange players not only scouts, football is like every other enterprise if you have somebody speaking for you at a higher table your chances of moving are very high, normally Watford's normal route of getting a second keeper would have been to move to Preston or Sheffield Wednesday and Okoye's normal progression as a young Dutch keeper would have been to move to Ajax or Psv from there to French league and from there to the English league, when moves like this materialize out of the transfer window nonetheless then an intermediary is involved in this case I say Pinnick |

Extremely wise move for Watford. Very poor move for Maduka Okoye. No matter how badly he plays at AFCON, he will have secured a big move. Young GKs are not common. But the lure of EPL is too strong. |

charlesemeka85:Oga na so I rated Akpeyi but now i say na Uzoho so don't be surprised sering me say na Maduka tomorrow na so me dey do my things.... I want to see Maduka performance in upcoming Afcon 2022 then I would be more convince but for now he has not done anything tangible in eagles colour for me to rate him than Uzoho who had good world cup outing despite his young age. My man am happy for Maduka o and moving to EPL is something unique and would be a great boost to Super eagles. |

Nigerians single handedly destroyed uzoho career trajectory. A player that was fancied at a young age and playing regularly at la liga all of a sudden ended at a backwater league all because his country men assassinated his character by accusing him of age falsification |

charlesemeka85:Nothing is impossible!!!! Sorry if this reads as disrespectful, but why would a full grown adult man take joy in the downfall or misfortune of those they don't know personally? Why the constant digs at the young man? Do we have different SEs? If he eventually does well and lives up to his potentials won't it be to the benefit of Nigeria? I understand if you don't have faith in him, but don't keep harping and latching onto it like a hungry baby holding on to im mama mammary glands. Thanks for all your contributions here though. |

12large1:Uzoho's career is not dead, there is an unfortunate ceiling for a African born and bred keeper and you have to be exceptional to breach it, he will have a good career after all and I rate him as a good shot stopper |

AndSunGorilla:the constant dig on him is because of the undue hype and noise about him based on previous exploits during his u17 days Many even make it seem as an injustice because rohr is yet to invite him to the super eagles while few are making excuses for him that some of the coaches in the clubs he has played for since he left the shores of this country doesn’t seem to like him naturally ![]() |

charlesemeka85:Got you, then the dig should be on those making undue noise and hype about him and not the young man. |
