Pls what is the recommended Eng/Trans oil for Kia Rio 2008.

How do I know if the Thermostat has been removed or not.

If removed what is the cost to restore.

Also include the cost of the Timing belt.

recommended engine oil spec include 5w20 or 5w30. Recommended atf is Hyundai/Kia Sp-iii, and lucky for you, I have limited qty of the ATF available at this time @ 7k per 1l bottle. You may check my profile for details.

Easiest tell tale sign of thermostat delete or bypass is that the radiator fan is constantly on when engine is running. Cost of replacement of those parts listed, I no know DAT one. Lol

Gazuzz and other guru...
Pls I use pilot 2009. My tranny dipstick does not show any oil.
Which oil is recommended?
And is it good to just top up or I drain all to refill new?

Thanks. God bless you all with more wisdom.

Did you check it with the engine on?
Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by sulm: 7:13pm On Nov 11, 2021
I checked after off for 1min.
Also checked when cold.
None shows oil, not even on stick let alone the hot mark.

I didn't check while engine run.

Am still surprised as the car still works, although it somehow slips at 3-4. The 1-2-3 is perfect @1800rpm

Oga gazzuz good morning sir, I was advised to buy synthetic engine oil as its good for engine health and last longer(6months) than normal oil. As a bolt guy, if I use synthetic oil, how long will I used it before changing?

If it actually last that long but my car show service light, can I just reset the light and keep driving?

Thank you

Which car, what oil have you been using (how often do you change it) and for how long have you been using the car?

6 months or 5k miles whichever comes first, that's the recommended oil change interval on synthetic oil.

As a bolt guy, you can't use oil for 6 months.

P1659 HONDA code possible causes

Faulty Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) Relay

Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) Relay harness is open or shorted

Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) Relay circuit poor electrical connection

Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

|How is the P1659 HONDA code repair?

Start by checking the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector's pins.

|What are P1659 HONDA code possible symptoms?

Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

|What is P1659 HONDA code meaning?

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls the throttle valve opening. The system includes the throttle actuator, the throttle valve, Throttle Position (TP) sensors A and B, the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor, the Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) control relay, and the PCM. The APP sensor is operated via the throttle cable to determine the accelerator opening value when the driver presses the accelerator pedal. The accelerator pedal opening value is converted to a signal in the APP sensor and transmitted to the PCM to compute the target position. The PCM determines the throttle valve target position according to the signal received and operates the throttle actuator to move the throttle valve to the target position. The actual throttle valve position is determined by TP sensor A (installed in the throttle body). When the voltage is applied from the ETCS control relay to the IG1ETCS terminal for a set time after the ETCS control relay is turned off, the PCM detects a malfunction in the ETCS control relay power switch and a DTC is stored.
