my umidigi a7 got soaked. in a way, I was lucky- I actually charged it, while still wet! anyway, this is what I did- remove the battery if you can. dry everything you can reach with a paper towel- not toilet roll o! if possible, remove the back cover to dry out more water. put it in a nylon bag, cover the phone with local (NOT PARBOILED) rice and tie it. the rice acts as a desiccant, absorbing the water leave for a day, standing at a 45 degree angle with any side ports facing down. put under the HOT sun for 3-4 hours (at 45 degrees, as before)- the water on the inside becomes vapor, which is absorbed by the rice. take in and leave for another day- 45 degrees angle. at the end of AT LEAST 48 hours, take out your phone and clean again with a LINT FREE cloth. use a toothpick to track all the ports and slots. NEVER USE METAL ON YOUR PHONE, EVEN WITH THE BATTERY REMOVED!! and you're done. good luck! |
