“All expensive schools owned by churches are satanic and unbiblical” — Evangelist Gideon Akande

A Nigerian evangelist, identified as Gideon Akande, has opined that churches who run schools with expensive tuition are satanic and unbiblical.

He took to his Facebook page to make this assertion. According to him, those churches are creating terrible segregation among its members which is against what the bible teaches.




He further stated that pastors of those churches are not doing God’s work but running a business.

In a lengthy post, he wrote,




“ALL EXPENSIVE CHURCH SCHOOLS ARE SATANIC! All the churches who are building and running schools more expensive than Federal Government’s school in their countries are not doing the work of God, they are derailed, they are doing business, they are unbiblical and they are involving in evil and satanic separations.




So the school that belong to the church, can only admit member “A” who has money to pay for his children but the same church’s school cannot admit member “B” not because his children cannot pass the entrance exam but because he has no money. So only rich members can send their children to their church’s school? This is not Biblical, it is satanic. What is the main purpose of the church of God building academic schools? If the purpose is to create a godly and biblical environment for the students, then it means only the rich members will have their children in godly environment?




So it means that as same members of the church, we are going to the same heaven but our children cannot go to the same school the belong to our same church? What a terrible segregation!

Listen to what the Bible says: “For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool: have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?” James 2:2-4.




If the church of God can build schools with church money and then only allows children of members who have more money to come in to learn and disallow the children of the members who do not have enough money, have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? I mean, this is not Government school or private schools, this is church’s school built by church’s money!”

Instead praying let God take you out of poverty so you can send your children to these good and standard schools built by church not government you are busy calling them out...

It is so painful that this is now the new order of the day, may God help us. The truth is indeed bitter but must be said. Thanks for this truth.

People be unleashing their anger and frustrations on pastors these days. No be dem say make you no hustle. Hustle so you won't be talking down on someone else's success. Make your own success and let people talk about you.

What kind of Post is this?. At least the Pastors tried to give something to the society. Quality education , no Asu strike, NASU Strike,MAMSU Strike. RIOTS, Protests, school shut downs, salary unpaid, facility unmaintained .

if you call this Satanic You can build the angelic school.

Is this man any different from the other thief enemies pastors who steal, kill and destroy in God's name?

Or is this a case of one thief pastor calling out other thieves pastors for stealing more from God than he does?

The word expensive is relative one. I believe the schools also offer different standard from FG's own.

Where did you read that the pastor is poor? You guys have just been programmed in a particular way to respond if your "man of God" is called out for his being dodgy.

I had a discussion recently with a devoted Christian who complained bitterly how his former church deceived the members into contributing both money and time into building a school that most members can now not afford to send their children to.

He told me that before the project started, the pastor sweet talked them into it one Sunday morning after service.

They where told that most public and private schools have teachers who are not Christians. So it is dangerous to allow such people train their wards as they can corrupt them.

Also, the pastor said that most chridren attending these non Christian schools have parents who are cultists and witches

So to prevent their children from being initiated, it is very important they have their own school with God fearing teachers and pupils

With this ,every member became actively involved in the school project.

But after the school was built, the school fees made it practically impossible for most members to enroll their wards.

The irony now, is that it is children of non members, " cultists and witches" who can afford the fees that mostly attend the school.

Most of the church members who can't afford the school fees continue to have their wards attending those other schools the MOG already condemned.

Now, the purpose for which the school was bulit has been defeated. But the pastor no longer cares.

So ,at that point, the person narrating this to me ,said he had no choice but to leave not because he could not afford the fees for his own children but for the deceit involved in the whole thing. .

This story is the same everywhere.

This is pure cheating, when it's time to contribute for the building of the school, everybody contributed. Including the widows. From all the people that contributed sir, how many people can afford the exorbitant fees.......
