I received message from GTB. I was given account number from GTB and I was asked to go any branch and activate it.

Did you open account with them or not?
If not don't let scammers to use use they now open account for people and send code to you they will called them to tell them the code and collect loan for you beware.

That was how one man called me directly on phone and asked me to call my BVN out or other account details of mine so he'd help me activate my new UBA account (Truly I opened an account so it was convincing that he works for them, because how else did he know I just opened an account?)

I asked him to end the call while I look for my BVN and have him call me back to call it out for him, just then, my eyes opened, banks don't ask you to send sensitive details, besides, I filled my BVN on the form, so why is he asking again..

I quickly tossed his number into Blacklist, my guy call tire

Is buy force to open a bank account?.
Better protect your identity. Change your email password, your ATM code and online banking code.
Don't waste time to call Customer service but be careful not divulge sensitive information to he/she. Some bankers are confirmed Scammers

They asked you to visit any branch of GTB, where you will be able to get more authentic info on weather it's scam or real, you deliberately and lazily refused. Instead you run to Nairaland asking the wrong people.
