Ussycool:this was the mum's stupidity and its totally her fault so she shld be penalised for it first she was suppose to have her child lock active secondly she was suppose to put them in that baby seat. The children suppose sue am self. I think some women and carelessness are 5 & 6. 2 Likes |

Recently, I avoided running over a kid of about 3years close to my house on the mainland. The parents were in the front gisting away unconcerned and left two kids at the back without the child lock activated. The playful kids unlocked the door and one of them fell out of the SUV right in my path. Thank God I was not on appreciable speed, I would have run over a part of his body. I swerved and ended up taking a hit from the suddenly opened door on my headlamp and a major scratch from the door on my car body. I was thankful despite not being wrong and the man could only say, let's go to the panel beater; I gave the couple a tongue-lash before leaving the scene. Come to think of it, had it been I ran over the child, Nigerian Police will rather persecute me than charge the parents for endangering a minor. In Nigeria the driver of the car that accidentally ran over the child will be the guilty party according to the Nigerian police,detained,his/her car impounded and after several months in detention,charged to court for murder if he/she doesn't have at minimum ₦5million to "settle the case". Anyone that has any illusion that Nigeria is a country should just pay a day visit to a Nigerian police station. Stone aged men ran their communities better than we do in 2021. 2 Likes |

Whenever I drive my kids from school, i always make sure to at least lock the backseat doors. Children can be difficult to contain in one place sometimes, they wanna try touch everything inclusing pulling the door lever to see what will happen. Even when doors are locked, I still manage to look through the rearview mirror regularly to see what they are doing back there. 1 Like |
