Since the days of Orji Uzor Kalu Abia state had always been the worst in infrastructurer developments. I wonder why those people won't just learn to hold their leaders accountable for such decays in infrastructures. Go to Aba during raining seasons and see how dirty aba is.

Abia and the Igbo people on Nairaland will never talk about this, they are vehemently focused on Lagos affairs as if they don't have their own place. If they can channel the energy they use in criticizing Tinubu and other Yoruba leaders to criticize their political leaders, I'm dead sure something would have been done to address this mess, but No! they won't.

Not only Abia state but Imo state.

Abia state for the mean time is dead you can even hear that from the video.

They have destroyed the states, recruited themselves into IPOB and now seriously looking for other neighboring states to destroy.

Very pathetic that both were once under one jurisdiction in the 1970's and still today same character- bad governance.

You always make stupid assumptions. How does this thread has any thing to do with Ipob

Do you even know the full meaning of ipob... Indigenous people of Biafra

This is exactly what some of us have been saying but they call us tribalist, bigot and whatnot.. If Igbos move back to their region and channel their energy to the bad governance there, things will change and their unborn generation would have something to meet and fall back on should things fall apart.. except of course they plan to continue birthing all their seeds in North and West which is stvpid if you ask me.

This same Abia collects billions of naira monthly from FG just like Lagos, Ogun, Rivers and others.. where are those monies going to??

Charity begins at home but Igbo charity starts and ends outside Igboland. So pathethic.

Do you know?
Most states in Nigeria are just there to complete numbers, lol!
Abia, Osun, Ondo, Bayelsa...

You're saying rubbish I don't know about other state...but apart from Lagos and ibadan...osun has the best road in the south west and better road than all of the south eastern state... despite all this the governors is still constructing a flyover as we speak...am not a politician nor a tribalist but the roads aregbe( interior minister) constructed in osun in 8 years no south eastern state can construct it in 16 years just for the records let me not talk about schools
In the latest IGR chart released, osun state generated more IGR than the whole south eastern state...just for the record

"Pathetic" in this case is not enough word to qualify the situation.
Their political leaders are saint, while leaders of other zones in the country are corrupt.
The earlier they understand that charity begins at home ,the better it will be for them.

Abia state is the worst state in south east.
No good road if your coming from portharcourt, no good road if you are coming from IMO state.
No good road lead to ariaria international market, same applicable to shopping centre and cemetery market aba.
The dirt in aba portharcourt road is over 30ft

Igbo is the most foolish tribe on Earth - Uwazuruike.

Truer words have never been spoken. Instead of focusing on our affairs, we would rather focus on South West issues. Tinubu's party has been ruling Lagos since time immemorial, PDP has been ruling Abia since. Can we compare Abia to Lagos? It will never be well with any Igbo who carries South West matters on their head more than ours.

Ikpeazụ/PDP will still campaign on a plank in that road while the citizens will stand in the mud and be cheering him. Then they will vote in PDP again.

The problem of Abia is the people, coupled with tribalism.

Any place tribalism reigns, the politicians take full advantage of it. After witnessing the last election in Abia, I lost faith in them.

So Ibos are tribalistic against Ibos?

Wow,, if this is coming from an ipig miscreant then it's 100% true.

There are fewer people in Abia compared to Ogun where Igbos are flocking into daily, just like Lagos.. we don't just understand you guys problem.

2. Ogun is more of a border State to West African countries from Nigeria, the gateway state, so the movement of vehicles, trucks, tankers, trailers etc. are on the high side.

Those and more will definitely put excess pressure on the infrastructure coupled with mass migration of people into the state in search of opportunities.
If you ask me, I'd say govt. at Centre should grant Lagos and Ogun states special status or betterstill allow them to keep what they generate for development and maintenance.

At least I've tried to answer your question.. can you please highlight reasons why Abia shouldn't be like Dubai with all the allocations the State gets for FG and the internal revenue and taxes of Abia people.

Imagine how this person managed to smuggle igbos into the disaster in Abia state.

The message should be directed to Abia and Imo state respectively.

Moreover they also form huge followership of Nnamdi Kanu.

Face the thread and stop all these evil igbos sentiments always employed by Nnamdi Kanu and your likes.

To you, Abia state is just Ngwa rd, Port-Harcourt rd, Ohanku rd, Osiaioma rd? In the same Aba, Ogbor Hill , Aba-Owerri rd, fulks rd, Okpunu umuobo, East Street, Azikiwe Rd, 7up Rd etc pictures will not be shown. There are bad roads in Aba and there goods roads also.

Abia is not doing well right from Ogbonnaya Onu's tenure till date but the enterprising spirit of the ppl still stand out for all to see. It's myopic to blame everything on Abia indigenes because Anambra indigenes have more properties in Aba than Ngwa ppl (the real owners of Aba) Tonimas, Udeagbala, Mike machandies are all Anambra; Nnaji, Taminus are from Enugu state.

Please stop instigating hate among igbos because it won't help you, God bless Abia state, God bless South East, God bless Nigeria Amen.
