JOSCOFELIX: I don't know where you get your information from (possibly uneducated NCO mess) but it's WRONG. There are different configurations for MRAP's sometimes mission specific. But I have NEVER EVER seen where you have specific specialty designed MRAP for senior officers your diction a commander. You have introduced comparison analysis , which highlights our huge failings and ineptitude. Just to educate you, you do need to be educated. For the over the 20 years of British armed forces deployment in Afghanistan. We sadly lost 467 combatants the highest ranking officer lost was a Lt. Col. These are published statistics with rank and names attached in in the public domain. That means 22 soldiers lost every year , 2 soldiers in every month since the 20 year deployment in Afghanistan. We know the NA will NEVER reveals the true level of casualties in this war. Does anybody want to speculate ❓❓ l actually think we are talking thousands of of casualties. Particularly when you consider the UNACCEPTABLY high number of commissioned officers lost. 7 Likes |

JOSCOFELIX:Are you talking about Operation Talic that was carried out by the British military between 2003 and 2011? Less than 200 British soldiers died in iraq In Afghanistan, throughout the British military combat in Afghanistan, I don't think up to 500 UK military personnel have lost their fight. Can you now give us the estimate of the Nigerian soldiers that have died in this war since 2009? No just give us an estimate and tell us say nah your source tell you o I can back up what I said about the UK military personnel death in Iraq and Afghanistan with legit source, you should be able to back up your own with legit source too. Is an insult to compare the UK military with that of the Nigerian military. 5 Likes |

When making comparison and trying to be the smartest in the class, you need to consider density of troops and total mission encounter. The total amount of troops deployed to fight the insurgency in bornu may be higher than the total amount the UK deployed to fight in Iraq or Afghanistan. Common knowledge is the the rate of encounter and density of troops is directly proportional to the amount lost. Take it or leave it 6 Likes 1 Share |

DubaiLandLord1:but troop was lost him claming that british mrap have not been destroyed made me to laugh. before anything the war in afghan and iraq was a nato operation which up to 10 nation was involve if we want to caculate their dead service men will calculate the causaties of all the nation involve.. From us to france to british down to germany and more brono is purely nigeria army so calculate and write back British army have little number of man in afghan and iraq and depend on US for operational salt when attack mission rugged terrian. but by the way why are will comparing nation that failed in defeating terroism, nation that run away from afghan saying their mission is over without fighting the main threat, ,nation that their 20 year is equal to tailbian two month ! tailbian defeat 20year of nato operation in two month 2 Likes |

EricBraven: Chief we are losing Soldiers carelessly. If the US and UK are as careless as us, they’ll lose more Soldiers than us. Base Fortification Zero Using Open Hilux in Red Zones Proper Base Surveillances etc drones. Previously we had a poor response time for Air support due to inter-agency bureaucracy. There was no need for the bolded statement. We need to Improve. We are having the mentality of using numbers to win this war after all Depot go open and Nigerians will troop in for recruitment. 13 Likes |

EricBraven: Do not make brazen, emotive led assumptions from bias, which have zero substance. To present your proposition you have to state the number of troops deployed. And indeed number of operations and engagements. For your information on over 150 000 UK armed forces personal have been deployed in Afghanistan alone over the plus 20 year period. Now give us the Nigerian armed forces deployment over the last 10 years. It's only then we can make a substantive comparison not sentiment based assumptions. 4 Likes |

SamuelAnyawu: You don't give a balance or constructive argument anymore, you exaggerate things, thinking everyone will believe, because you are there in the battle field, are you in anyway saying we are winning the war based on number, not because we are better fighters than the terrorists? If we are using numbers to fight the war because depots will be open for troop recruitment, then why are we crying that we lack manpower in Borno, and the need for more troops to be deployed, to hold grounds? You are comparing US to Nigeria that spent trillions of dollars of dollars in Afghanistan, more than our GDP, money that will cover Nigeria total budget for 2 decades or more,is what the US wasted in Afghanistan, and still lost, how much is Nigeria military budget? The military has been neglected for many years, because of corruption, it's only recent it started finding it feet, and the use of light skin vehicles are being phrasing out gradually. Even the Americans and it allies you are comparing Nigeria to, also loses thousands of it troops, despite using more protected vehicles, so tell what causes they deaths? 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Roan77: I don’t give a balanced and constructive argument because it doesn’t blend with your opinion? Did you read my post you quoted? Chief don’t jump into arguments just because of emotions. I’m giving reasons why we are having high casualties. Base fortification Soft Skinned vehicles Proper surveillance etc and I called on the government/Military to improve on this. How is this exaggeration? Some of you guys here can’t do without being emotional Bro It’s very simple logic. Later Bro I have a Civilian-Military coordination meeting to attend in our Brigade 11 Likes |

SamuelAnyawu: The last two are being worked on already but the truth is that we cannot totally replace soft skins in the theater, what can be done is to reduce the numbers by a lot in the high risk zones, troops far from the battle front will still have soft skins forming the bulk of their vehicles. 2 Likes |

SamuelAnyawu:When you are tasked for a duty, you make use of the available resources provided. When you say we are using numbers to persecute this war then i am forced to ask you,how did you come to that conclusion. The TOC is vast and cut across border,we also do not have the required vehicles (formally we roll out men in soft skin vehicle at the begging of the war) but the reduction of soft skin vehicle has started. The rate at which we lose men have also reduce incase you don't know 2 Likes |

EricBraven: This is the same guy that doubted the initial claim that only 4 people died during the ambush that killed the senior officer. He was speculating higher numbers of troops died with the general, because of rank, that's why I said he exaggerate things so much. Even some people here were saying over 15 to 20 soldiers died with the general, because of his rank, till ISWAP confirmed it was only 4. People don't use they brain, but with their biased minds. 3 Likes |
