MetalJigsaw:The problem of this team is not the striking department The problem is in the midfield and wings they're not creative enough Playing Simon and jamilu on the wing back role affects the team creativity upfront. A midfield of Iwobi (AM) Ejuke and Chuks on both flanks will produce goals and a defense of Akpoguma and balogun as CB can birth goals too from set pieces especially Akpos while Aina/Tyrone be deployed as RB and Zaidu as LB |

safarigirl:Maybe he was working and hanging on based on promises.. Remember results wasn't this bad initially. Rohr has done one thing right, he has invited the best crop of players, he has spotted talent when they are unknown and given them a career, he has raised the bar with the standard of players been called up, the heyyous and useless backwater league players like Turkey have reduced drastically. He hasnt taken us to the dark ages where we had the likes of Oshaniwa, Chiogozie agbim, Egwuekwe, Ruben Gabriel, Uchebor, Ebenezer kunle, Uche Nwofor etc in our squad to the WC!! His biggest sin is that he has showed poor ability in molding a team that plays NIgerian football. Rather than fire Rohr, he needs a Nigerian Assistant that would ensure we play the attacking style of football. Yobo, Salisu the criminal and eguaveon are all dunderheads. |

Mujtahida:Look at it this way. By default, European teams were allocated a higher percentage of slots at the World Cup despite not being the most populous continent. It made them win, control and saturated the entire tournament to the extent, that when Africa teams allocation increased, European teams already controlled the World Cup. How can you expect an African team to excel when, they have a low percentage of allocation, unfavorable biased referees even before kick off and elite clubs not investing into African players except for global superstars. The World Cup is just another political ridden agenda that Europe use to colonize the world. It is why, I’m not that enthusiastic about it anymore. A tournament that my own continent has 0% chance of winning and you want me to be jumping like an idiot…. MBA nu |

Mujtahida:For now, competency must come from somewhere. The grassroots is not doing enough or getting investment to do more. For now, we have to find an alternative means of smoothening the gap. A sound manager can help plug some gaps. That was why Westerhof was so involved. Unfortunately, the gaps are still here today. |

Joezinho:Rohr is too conservative He spots talent invite them and make them sit on the bench He can barely read games and make tactical subs He does not understand tactics neither does he mould his team to play according to tactics His pattern of play is archaic and barely produce goals and does not even know how to use the talents at his disposal C'mon that man is a disaster waiting to happen if we don't let him go now we will regret it later mark my words |

Your first two paragraphs is very apt even if we leave this coaching matter. This is exactly what I have been trying to communicate to my subordinates. But they will never get it. When you give them more responsibilities, they say you are using them for low pay, instead of them to get sense, do the added duties and beef up their resume. They will just be lazying around and not adding value. This is just the truth in life. Work hard, soak all the experience you can, use that to advance yourself elsewhere, else you are just pulling yourself back in life by complaining and going nowhere. safarigirl: |

![]() This is what I was talking about my bro. We need big mentality. If you have big mentality you will always find a way. And we played like we were in the World Cup for business. Mujtahida: |

Mujtahida:I don't like remembering that day. It was a dark day in our football history. Each time I keep on wondering if we would have made it to the finals had we defeated Italy. Right now I am down as a result of watching this clip. |

12large1:I agree to increased number of reps for Africa and its already a done deal. Talk football not this colonizers whining talk. Interestingly do you know that in the USA 94 game in which Nigeria played against Italy, the match referee was a Mexican. Do you know that he sent off Emile Zola and that was a bad decision. Italy were down to 10 men. The point is that bad officiating is like a stray bullet. It can hit anybody. I don't like this crying victimization talk but if it makes you feel better, carry on. As for me the world cup represents the pinnacle of footballing experience, a true global fiesta, a flourish and a delightful drama of spectacular, breathless dimensions. I always look forward to it and I have never ascribed political motivations to it not even when Germany robbed South Africa of hosting rights through shady politics. |

Joebie:Bro, go read the comments on that video on YouTube, many people expressed their appreciation to the Nigerian team for putting up a show worthy of the world cup. That's what big mentality does. Not that you'd be whimpering in a corner saying your team is young. Young and so? |

Joezinho:Lai Mohammed will be proud of you. See how you spinned the story and avoided blaming Rohr but other people for causing him to perform below par, fantastic. Oga everything rises and falls on leadership!!!!! The responsibility of leadership is huge, it includes ownership of successes and failures. If anyone isn't ready for the responsibility, then they have the choice of not being appointed leader. |

AndSunGorilla:No one wana answer the obvious. Where is the money to pay if Rohr is sacked? His contract is clear.. Qualify for world cup and keep your job!! |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joezinho: 8:51pm On Nov 19, 2021 |
humility33:Oga humility, , I am a fierce critic of Rohr. I would've fired him a long time ago if i were Amaju. That being said, I detest unfair labor practice and owing people. NFF should, first of all, find money to pay him. He has achieved one of his targets... I just don't like this business where we are notorious for not paying people for job done. Whether we are happy with the work or not. |

The one thing I give coach Rohr credit for is that he has kept any and all financial issues in house... He understands being owed. He might not like it, but he understands it. Now, if they are talking about letting him go, they should find the money to make him whole. |

Joezinho:Why do you guys keep making it look like Rohr was one scouting manager that went round Nigeria and Europe discovering talents and changed the Nigerian football scene. Our top players are, Osimhen, Iheanacho, Ndidi, Chidera Ejuke, Chukwueze, Iwobi, Ekong, Balogun, and Awaziem. So which of these will you say are discoveries of Rohr? Rohr benefitted massively from the hardwork put in by our local coaches. Rohr was lucky Maigari and his crew laid a solid foundation unlike the corrupt cartel that gave birth to Rohr. |

TheGoodJoe:Local coaches? Was it the local coaches that invited Awaziem , Balogun, Akpoguma, Aribo and the likes? Or didnt we have quality players scouted by your so called local coaches in 2014 when we took Ruben Gabriel , calamity Egwuekwe , Agbim and a host of shitty players to the WC? |

Joezinho:Balogun played for Keshi before Rohr. Awaziem was called up to the Super Eagles by Salisu before Rohr. |
