With IBB's prophecy of a presidential candidate in their 60s.. and healthy some candidates like Tinubu & others who are above 75years and weak can no longer contest |

PeaceJoyLove:I agree with you ibb messed up Nigeria, but don't under estimate his influence in Nigeria. Those politicians no dey reason same way u dey reason. You don see Ibb dey attend any national function recently ?? Na him house Dem dey go meet am. The man is powerful and you need to see the convoy him son dey pull any state him enter. Orji kalu is definitely in the list of presidential hopefuls, the man has been working hard making friends across Nigeria. He was meant to be the Senate president Dem just humble say make him be chief whip. Top ten powerful men across Nigeria him dey inside. |

adekolaelect:@ the bolded, oga Orji Uzor Kalu fits the picture perfectly but he is perceived to a corrupt politician by many Nigerian. I believe there are still some Igbos who meet that criteria - they grew up in the north or other regions outside igboland, well travelled, can speak Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and many other Nigerian languages fluently, has businesses, properties and influential friends all over the country, them dey. But the question is: are these calibre of people even interested in politics? Will they be voted for if they contest? |

ruggedtimi:IBB cannot attend any function cos he is crippled, and not because he is influential. What kind of help will someone who tried contesting two times and didnt get PDP primary, and didnt have the push to form another party like Buhari. Think bro. Buhari always wins North East, which region do you think IBB can be said to have a stronghold of. You are the one still seeing him powerful. What can he give you? Who can he convince the most powerful man in Nigeria when he is his number 1 enemy? The ruling party is APC, and the two people who hold the party are not his fans. Is it Buhari who will hand over to a candidate selected by IBB? Or is it Jagaban who will go and start romancing IBB when Jagaban refused to romance OBJ. Think deeply. Orji Uzo Kalu will not go far for the fact that he is romancing IBB. This is a fact. I don't see him as a presidential candidate. Anyone who moves from being a governor to a senator is not worth it. Kalu that couldn't even get the senate president position, but opted for chief whip. I was shocked. Is it Atiku or Tinubu that will run after Chief Whip of the senate? Oga, a beg, dont insult our intelligence in Nigeria. And if Ibo decides to pick Kalu, that is dead on arrival. Kalu that has even gone to the prison. No matter how you say he has been freed, the blemish is still there. Anyone who romances IBB is a fo.ol. Therefore, Kalu is a fo.ol. And will never be the president of Nigeria. He will only waste his money. Na waooo. So, its Atiku who will be romancing IBB? ![]() |

Imagine telling young people who are the bulk of the voters/ballot snatchers to focus on people in their 60s. When you were President, albeit military, were you in your 60s? I hope the youths of this country wake up and realise that the future is now. |

adenigga:A Muslim has never succeeded a Muslim president in Nigeria since return to democracy in 1999. A Christian has never succeeded a Christian president since return to democracy in 1999. Electing a Muslim as president to succeed PMB is like pouring fuel into the crisis already in Nigeria, a country nearly equally divided between Moslems and Christians. Rule Abubakar Atiku or Ahmed Bola Tinubu out as possible successor to PMB. However, Nigerians must seek to elect a presidential candidate who is capable to lead the country out of its present malaise, or elect a president through ethnoreligious bigotry and descend further with the country’s malaise. |

PeaceJoyLove:orji kalu is a member of APC and friends to everybody, not just ibb. Maybe he had issues with obj back then but they have since settled their differences. Well let's watchout and see. But I know atiku won't get the ticket in PDP. |

| Re: 2023: I’ve Seen The Next President Of Nigeria – Babangida by onuman: 9:33am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Beremx:SW can’t produce a successor to PMB, because rotation of the presidency between north and south stipulates that an Igbo must succeed PMB. In 1999, through the principles of rotation of the presidency between north and south, rest of Nigeria acquiesced in having two Yoruba presidential candidates in the two largest political parties in Nigeria. If the Yoruba refuses rotation for the southern regions but asks north to stick to rotation between north and south, it’s obvious that the north will cash on Yoruba’s refusal for rotation in the south. In such a scenario, a northerner succeeds PMB in 2023. |
