Both federal government and Nigeria media houses keep fighting this Igbos from left right center.

No government institutions to generate fund for them. Can we have all the federal government and international organization we have in other parts of Nigeria in the East

Then come back and compare their revenue ?

do you know why Igbos are doing better, they don't condemn mediocrity. Just because others do bad doesn't mean we have to start comparing ourselves with them.

So because others are doing bad, we emulate and compare ourselves to them. Say Lagos is burning, what business does it have to do with me in Anambra? Why not make our lands the envy of others instead of comparing our evil with theirs. This is why Abia State is the way they are. They blame people who don't have any business with them.

You mentioned Lagos, why not ensure that we generate same amount of revenue like them instead of copying what MC oluomo is doing there? Must we emulate evil.

Just so you know, I travelled to Lagos for a job,got my materials from mainland to island without paying a dime to anyone. Another time, I went from Lagos to Ogun State without paying anyone a dime. So yes, Lagos has agberos but they don't work like our people. You see them with uniforms and their revenue goes to the government and that's why they're hitting almost 1trn as revenue meanwhile the whole Igbo State is lagging behind Kano State.

Are you not even ashamed. Let's say they allow for fiscal policy and each state is to generate their own income, how do we pay salaries with less than 2bn a month

I understand your type, the type of shallow minded Ignomen who buy into the well written propaganda like this one in this page. Statistics used to keep you misinformed and confused. The propaganda machine is so well oiled from the information ministry that you have already swallowed the lies.

Then again, you passed from Lagos to Ogun state, is the road as terrible as the road from Awka to Enugu? I am sure you were blind to the fact of FG marginalisation agenda and all you see is the boys standing on the wrecked roads to collect money from you because it's easy to accuse them. That is self hate.

In your first paragraph you said the Igbos are doing better, then you went back and contradicted yourself with states making 1trillion naira, how has the 1trillion helped their people on the streets or you're counting Tinubu bullion van money for him and celebrating foe him?

Nobody will allow a fiscal policy for every state to collect their own money because all these lies and propaganda will burst before their eyes. Am just sad you're not seeing the agenda and am here arguing with you for a mere propaganda floated by northerners.

Such a shame to Kano

Big for nothing state.

Is the desert encroaching even into their brains?

To be competing with states that were destroyed during the war and states where the FG refused to build any infrastructure is just very shameful.

Kano should be chasing and overtaking Lagos grin
Which Kano? The statistics is a political gimmicks. The little thriving commercial activities had been frustrated by Hisbah. The term BLACK FRIDAY used to indicate high discounts for household goods by large marketing companies had been discouraged. Maybe what they refer to as VAT may be the sum total of all the internally generated revenues which includes daily tickets to Okada and keke.

Good morning, it's quite unfortunate that Daily Trust will concort lies and push it out to the public. I have toured Yobe from Fika, Potiskum, Damaturu, Nguru, Machina etc. Yobe has 5 times the land mass of Abia but the indice on ground shows that Abia is more economic viable to Yobe.

All the major commercial banks in Nigeria have more branches in Abia more than in Yobe (commercial banks are not charitable organization but full time profit making entities so they will waist their resources in Abia if Yobe is better economically).

Abia state is not declaring what they generates for obvious reasons, markets like: Ariara, shopping center, cemetery, Ngwa road market etc is the reason Osibanjo visited Abia more than other South East states on official basis last year. More Northerners are still in Aba doing business and Yorubas also have more ppl in Aba than Owerri ( a visit to Yoruba Mosque at Asa rd by Azikiwe will confirm this).
Thank you for this.

You know when we talk sometimes it will seem as though we hate the north but it’s simply because we don’t let lies like this fly.

Lol, they're now using all manner of gimmicks including psychological in their fight against secessionists.

Nigeria is the only country where government data/statistics is totally at variance with reality on ground. Why? Because they always cook and manipulate figures for political reasons!

Now, let's look at this dispassionately without emotional attachment: Yobe state 9.7 billion vs Abia State 2.2 billion shocked shocked

Whoever has been to Abia State knows the state is economically viable. Abia State is unarguably the fourth most Industrialized state in Nigeria after Lagos, Ogun, and Anambra States in that order!

Abia State is also the 3rd most commercially viable state, after Lagos and Anambra!

Abia State is also an oil producing state!

Now, can someone tell me a single industry, commercial activities or mineral extraction going on in Yobe State that made it to generate 9.7 billion against the purported 2.2 billion from Abia State? It even gets worse when you consider that same Yobe is grappling under Boko Haram and bandits, with poverty rates in excess of 90%! Which means consumer spending will be extremely poor relative to Abia State!

Again, it was reported that Kaduna generated 50+ billions last year while Kano generated less than 20 billion in VAT, but this year, they're now claiming that Kaduna generated less than 20 billion while Kano now generates higher!

Why should VAT figures be swinging like yoyo pendulum? Except there was a war, epidemic or natural disaster that occurred in a particular State, its VAT should ought to remain stable except of course it's being manipulated for non-altruistic purposes.

Can't you all see the discrepancies?
The lack of logic and rational explanation?
The weirdness of the figures and their swinging nature?

Who else noticed that all these figures being bandied about and how they're always eager to "prove" with same obviously cooked figures about how SE is generating very low figures increased in tempo the more Igbo groups agitated for Biafra?!

If you guys think that bandying cooked figures to give the impression that Igboland is not viable will scare Igbos to abandon Biafra then it shows how myopic they are. If anything, Igbos have a can-do spirit and will even dare to prove you all wrong!

Embrace Igbos and show them a sense of belonging if you really wish to have them in Nigeria and not through all these ridiculous gimmicks!!
