I listened to the interview by AJ Owonikoko SAN and Femi Falana SAN on Arise TV. I also listened to part of the press conference by Lai Mohammed.

Mine is not a popular view.

When Femi Falana SAN was asked by Abati that AJ Owonikoko SAN pointed to some 40 inconsistencies in the report, Falana asked Abati how many Owonikoko has mentioned. Abati said he has seen some of them. Baba Falz no talk again.

Actually, those who leaked the report did the #EndSARS a great disservice. They should have allowed the government to issue the white paper which should then form the basis of the discussions.

By releasing the report, the inconsistencies are now at the fore and this may lead to the government saying the report is inconclusive. I am a huge fan of Falana SAN and I think Lai Mohammed is sometimes untruthful, but let us focus on the message.

Like I said last year, we shall never know the true incidents that happened in Lekki that night because the government will try not to look bad.

The question I still want answered is: who gave the order?

I am very shameless when it comes to tearing down lies and upholding the truth. The inconsistencies listed by Lai Mohammed are too grievous to be discarded. The Lekki lies can not stand no matter how much it is rehashed.

It's carelessness has contributed to those who have chosen to deny not just the use of excessive force at the lekki tollgate, but the overall objective of the endsars protests which was to make government take action against police brutality...

Nothing can justify unlawfully killing in any form. However, I think there is merit in what Lai Mohamed said. But I think he should have kept quiet as his position will be misinterpreted as propaganda.
