We experienced it at Rumousi-Choba axis to. For sometime now I use my nose mask. If you don't try picking you nose and see the outcome of it.

May God help us all in Rivers State

This isn't a new occurrence, I don't know why people are hyping it this year..
VERY normal
Didn't expect this comment to blow up, but yes this is normal.
Decades of legal and illegal oil exploration and zero care for the environment what else is post to happen?

I'm from Rivers state so, I'm pretty much aware of the angles

that's y we have to encourage more planting of trees left right middle of the roads

There is absolutely nothing normal about inhaling such daily... The long term delitirious effect will astound you.

The air in your community might even be laden with carcinogens (read this up)!

Something needs to be done fast!!!

The people at the highest risk are pregnant women and children

Tree planting is for carbon dioxide, not incomplete combusted carbon. . .it's a solid, not a gas. . . unless the tree can swallow or drink it.

Gas flaring is the main culprit. Unfortunately, our government does not care about the well-being and wellness of her citizens.
This used to happen in remote ijaw villages and creeks some years ago. Sadly successive Governments have set deadlines upon deadlines to achieve zero flaring but all Na audio. Politicians have reduced Nigeria to joke of a country with so many laws that cannot be enforced due to weak institutions. It’s always self interest above National interest, they are only interested in political offices because of what they will gain and not what they will give.

For online trolls and supporters of evil and wickedness, before you come online to say rubbish you need to go and pass a night in any of these communities to understand their suffering. Politicians are wicked but their enablers are the most wicked and evil.

I hope these folks realize that IPOB and Igbos are NOT their problem but the TERRORIST FULANI government that's destroying their lands and their livelihoods. The last time I checked, it wasn't IPOB and Igbos the reason why their waters are polluted and raining black soot during rainfall.

When you see Tankers parked along the roads then you should know that oil theft and illegal refining is going on nearby. The government must bring a stop to this.
