garfield1:No hope....SW is filled...They have 3 already. Currently, Bada is No 3 and Omoleye No 4...in Court of Appeal seniority list. |

fergie001:Who is no 1 and 2? For the south east, you did not mention justices obi elechi, ngozika abidua, onyemenam, tony ogakwu etc |

garfield1:1. Dongban-Mensem 2. Chikwe Agbo These ones are far behind..... Theresa Orji-Abadua from Imo.....15/10/59 (She used to be at the FCT High Court) She came into the Appeal Court 15/2/2008 (She is junior to Nwosu-Iheme who is junior to Datti Yahaya who is junior to Agube who is junior to Nwaoma) Agube and Nwaoma came in 18/7/2006 Onyemenam was sent to the Appeal Court same day as Obande (she came from the Customary Court) 30/11/2010. Elechi from Ebonyi...came into the Appeal Court in March 2014. (He came alongside Oho and Ogakwu) Ogakwu is Enugu, he used to be at the FCT High Court. |

fergie001:Kai and agbo cannot succeed Monica as pca since his time is near so his best bet is to get to the apex court.jimi or omoleye should succeed Monica.the south east clearly needs judges who will still be serving beyond 2030 at the apex court not those that will soon retire.. Is JSC elechi related to the ex governor |

garfield1:For Paul I don't think so....He is from Ezza South. I think Martin is from Ikwo. Omoleye and Bada will retire in 2026 and 2025 respectively. Dongban-Mensem will leave there in 2027 so they will go before her. Ogakwu looks like the youngest of the SE judges.....1964. |

garfield1:She is from Abia...I think Ohafia. She was in the running for Abia Chief Judge from been No 6, then there was some uproar and all that, so they had to send her up. She went to the Appeal Court in Nov 2012 alongside Adah, Ige & co. |

fergie001:Justice Joseph oyewole is a judge I feel is being groomed for something.my favourite judge is hannatu sankey |
| Re: Who Will Succeed Cjn Ibrahim Tanko When He Retires? by fergie001(mod): 1:03am On Nov 29, 2021 |
garfield1:I know Oyewole now....and we know those grooming him. He caused some uproar with the Lagos/Osun thing when Aregbe was there. Jummai Hannatu Sankey....she would have gone to the SC with the last batch but something came up.....Re-living the experience of her dad's death is surely painful. You know her dad? She led the panel that affirmed Oyetola. She is 5th on the seniority block...16/1/59. Went to the Appeal Court 8/6/2006. |

fergie001:The uproar was during oyinlola tenure by oyinlola..aregbe would never raise any issue against him...I think it was due to his conviction of bode George and his closeness to the acn hierarchy... We now have a succesor for Monica, three women pca consecutively |
| Re: Who Will Succeed Cjn Ibrahim Tanko When He Retires? by fergie001(mod): 1:22am On Nov 29, 2021 |
garfield1:Asides that, The uproar was that he was a very junior Judge in the Lagos High Court (not among top 20 sef) and Aregbe wanted to make him Osun CJ ahead of those very senior to him.....It almost led to a shutdown of the Judiciary in the State. I think the CJN even had to intervene at the time. They conceded and nominated him for Appeal Court. |

garfield1:It depends, they might block her oooll......She hails from the same State as Dongban-Mensem. |
| Re: Who Will Succeed Cjn Ibrahim Tanko When He Retires? by garfield1(op): 7:12am On Nov 29, 2021 |
fergie001:No,if they couldn't block Monica,they won't block anyone.moreover,she will serve for a year |

fergie001:Abeg no vex,who are the remnants of this dreaded kaduna mafia? I thought they were populated by intellectuals who are progressive minded. |

garfield1:They are the unseen hands in our polity. They are there from the Military, to Civil Service. Sankey is the daughter of the first Adjutant-General of the Nigerian Army, late Yakubu Pam who was murdered in the 1966 coup, but married to a Christian Kaduna man. |
