Fulanis are neither naive or foolish. They will never allow Bukola Saraki, who is half Yoruba and half Fulani to use the slot of the North to become the president, when there are lots of Hausa/Fulanis from the same North central.

But they can't win by fielding a pure Fulani either. I think Saraki would probably be their best play.

The North would vote for him and i'm sure he won't have problems with winning in the south as well.
