I will first send a note of warning to the international community that when next Hamas hides behind civilian lines to cause havoc,I won't go sending leaflets or broadcasts telling the civilians not to leave, I shall proceed with no prior warning to anybody and bomb them all.

worse has happened in history, violence always unfailingly begets violence, peace could have been achieved multiple times if Israel was treated the same way apartheid south Africa was internationally but every attempt by the UN was vetoed by the US irrespective of whether it was democrats or republicans in charge, the only US president who gave a Zionist government led by Likud if I remember correctly a cold shoulder and honesty and seriously emphasised on a two state solution was openly disrespected by Israel in connivance with a Republican led house and senate who invited the prime minister without going through the state department to come insult the executive while breaking protocol in a first of its kind in the US history. That show of shame indicated one simple truth, the US doesn't want peace in Israel and any US government that works toward peace will be sabotaged by republicans, democrats can be sold the idea of peace but republicans never will. Obama reached a deal with Iran, Hezbollah was being reigned in, the countries surrounding Israel are US allies except Syria which was an Iranian ally, America had a strong presence in Iraq, the EU and the UN was in support, so was Fatah but Israel and the republicans opposed Obama's attempts at a two state solution. So don't come here talking rubbish about how it was Hamas's fault, the violent minority could have been subdued if the peaceful majority was supported in the quest for a two state solution. And Hamas is in charge of Gaza not the west bank unless that has changed in which case Israel can sleep with one eye closed. You can cite the present but you should also check history which is something you republicans hate and understand how we got here.
