I thought your nephew is about 10y.o or so. But at 5, kids undergo the process of changing their teeth (usually one tooth at a time). It is possible that your nephew's tooth might be "shaking" that very day.

The teacher's story on his tooth fell off isn't convincing. So far, I can infer that your nephew's tooth was shaking, and the teacher did hit his head somewhere.

I am disappointed that "other teachers" saw this and chose to cover up.

Your sister may choose to allow her son continue schooling there, or lay a formal complaint to the head of the school while she looks for a better school.

Nope. The tooth was not shaking cos I asked him and he said no. Even the mother confirmed it because she's the one that still does the brushing for them.

Can't you see that the socket of the removed tooth still looks tight? If the tooth was ready to come off, the socket will look loose and swollen due to a new tooth growing underneath but look closely, you'll see the socket is still deep with no sign of weakness or loosness.

He just turned five in August this year.

Please whatever you guys do,don't sweep this under the carpet or listen to begging from the teachers, headmistress or anyone. Let that teacher and the school be punished for such a callous act especially to a defenseless child.

It's good that the boy spoke up. He must get justice.

Na wa oo which kain rubbish is this one.

Why banging a child's head on the table or even at all, a million and one things could have gone wrong. To the extent a tooth flew off that's terrible.

There's one shekusheye school behind my house that I almost always have BP during my leave, this lady channels her frustrations on the children, I thought we were the only one that noticed until one day one woman from the compound beside theirs called her out over the fence o and lambasted her seriously that does she want to kill the children.

The 2nd time a mother came and confronted her for hitting her sons head on the wall, after the whole brouhaha and the mother left this lady was still confronting the boy that you went to report me abi blablabla.

After these two major incidences the only thing we hear is children playing and we all have our rest from this woman's wahala.

You guys should not let this slide, then withdraw your child from the school. They all know the implications of what happened that's why they are not picking their calls. That's how they will cover up more terrible things.

You see, I don't know why schools and their proprietors are like that. I think these school owners have shallow minds and are primitive and don't really lay down rules and codes of conducts for their teachers especially when it has to do with child abuse.

I haven't run a school before but I believe that it shouldn't be hard replacing any teacher who goofs in this area. Why always trying to cover them up? It's not as if they are in a covenant or dem be joint cultists nah angry

The school owners head sef no dey correct!

I really understand what you are getting at cos I initially told my sis to just go there and place a judgement on her and leave but after a while, when I remembered the whole scenario, my head just sparked because what if it was his nose or forehead that hit the table or worst still, what if he had died? Hm.. I just cant take it anymore.

This is not the first time. The boy still has a dark mark on his neck from the flogging she gave him. Now this. Each time I remember it, my heart just goes out to this boy because hes my twins son. He's just like my own son.

You won't understand.

My dear, I feel your pain, things are happening and frustrated individual are on the rise, but in all these, love conquers all.
Let her go and hear her out first I believe her conscience will be better positioned on the next action to take.

OP I dont understand your fixation with agency this and that. Report the matter to your nearest police station, INVOLVE YOUR LAWYER!

Take the Police to the school and get that Jezebel arrested. I run a School and the current ministry regulation regarding correction forbids corporal punishment, talkless of mindless brutality like this.

Lock that woman up for the sake of other innocent children. In our Schools we do not flog any more.

If sound warming does not work, we suspend the child and NOT for academic reasons, poor or not.

I'm pissed!

this is exactly what I'm saying, he came back home with a scar on his neck before and his mother did nothing, it's not good to be cool for all those frustrated teachers....I'm really pained right now bcuz I have exactly his age here, imagine dis was done to him.
I'm very calm but, when it comes to my kids, every one knows that I'm a mad person.
May u find the best legal solution that will torment that violent and frustrated teacher and his cohorts for the rest of their lives......

Please take a good look at his upper lips, you will see abrasions there just opposite to where his teeth was. He was pushed against something while his mouth was closed, hence the reason the teeth gave way and the abrasions are on his upper lips.

The OP’s account is correct! We all should try to look outside the box all the time when little details are available to us. Cheers

I'm not happy. I've been trying to overlook what happened today but the more I remember it, the more I feel sorry for my innocent nephew who was physically and brutally abused by his teacher today.

I finished from my school today and decided to check on them.
I got home and found the door still locked. So I called and my sis said she went to pick her children from school.

As I sat at the staircase to wait, My nephew climbed up the stairs and said he has something to tell me. He said his teacher removed his tooth. As he was still trying to explain how it happened, the Mom climbed up and took over.

When she got to school, the teachers blocked her at the gate and told her her sons teeth was shaking and fell off. She said she was surprised because she was the one who brushed his teeth this morning and non of his teeth was shaking. she just believed them and picked her children.

On their way home. The son now told her to promise him not to ask his teacher what he's about to tell her and she crossed her heart.

The boy told her that he submmited his exam script to his teacher. The teacher went through his script and told him to rewrite somethings correctly. As he bent and was writing on the teachers table ( maybe he wrote it wrongly again) the teacher now hit his head on the table and his front tooth flew out. He said she quickly rushed him out as blood was gushing out and washed him up.
He said that the other teachers saw all that Happened and now tried to cover up.

He also said, the teacher threatened him that if he tells his Mom what happened, he'll meet her in school tomorrow.... That was why he begged his Mom not to ask his teacher.

I told the Mom to go there with the police tomorrow but I'm not sure if it's within their jurisdiction to handle such cases. So I want to know the right authority to report this dastardly act .

My 5 year old nephew must get justice. See how she disfigured his upper front dentition.

I need contacts to the right agency, please.

Pics of his teeth before and after the harm.

Go barrack get like four soldiers, locate the teachers house then ensure them flog d frustration from the teacher life. File petition to the ministry of education and child welfare office, the teachers and teachers refusal to take your sister call show say them day complicit.

@OP, that school is demonic to have covered up. God forbid, if that boy died in that process, they would have lied on the innocent boy to have jumped from the desk and hit his head on the floor. Na only 1 pikin/boy I get, and if a teacher do my son this kind thing, d teacher go regret say hin come life. If you check well, the teacher has never given birth before probably a young lady that doesn't know how much we spend in taking care of this child(ren). Only a sadist would do this to a child. @parent, make your child(ren) your friends , and create time for them, let them trust you. With that, no one would threaten them because they know you got them covered. @OP, treat that teacher fuckup tho legally.

Delta Youth's Out to a Peaceful Protest Over Non-Empowerment After ICT Program. Accuses Commissioner of Science and Technology of Embezzlement and Plans to Mass Murder Protesters, tagging them Hoodlums.

29/11/2021.

Youths of Delta state who participated in an ICT Program organised by the state ministry of Science and Technology are set to embark on a protest to Government House, Asaba, over the refusal of the Delta State Government under the Ministry of Science and Technology to give them starter packs and capital after the completion of the training for four months.

The training program which lasted for four months required participants to resign from their previous employment and daily hustling. However, four months after the training the government under the ministry of science and technology has not given the trainee's starter packs and capital to set up their businesses.

The Youths numbering up to 600, who are MSc, BSc, and HND holders that partook in the program express their displeasure over what they termed the deceitfulness of the Honourable Commissioner for Science and Technology, Ms Jennifer Adasen. They accused the rogue commissioner of diverting funds meant for starter packs to her pocket. The ICT trainees also claim the ministry shortchanged them by giving them a monthly stipend of ₦10,000 for three months, instead of the approved unknown sum for four months that the program lasted.

While narrating their ordeal, the Youths said the program which commenced in May, required them to secure apartments in Asaba for accommodation on their own which was not only expensive but equally tasking as many were duped by housing agents in the town of Asaba. They recall the onerous challenge they faced while undergoing the program as they have to cope with the high cost of living in the capital city of Asaba with the price of food items and transportation being 50%-100% higher than Warri and other cities in the state despite Asaba been a stone throw from Onitsha.

According to them, each person, particularly those who hitherto live outside Asaba, spend nothing less than ₦200,000-₦300,000 in the course of the program for accommodation, transportation and feeding on their pocket with only a paltry sum of ₦10,000 stipend from the ministry. Some express anguish over near-fatal accidents they had on the highway while others talked about how they trek under the sun and rain to attend classes on days they do not have money for transport fare. They showed empty laptop bags with the face of the governor and two notebooks without a laptop that they were given at the start of the program by the ministry.

The visibly angry youths vowed to march to Government House in Asaba at all cost to let the world know the ill-treatment meted out to them by the Honourable Commissioner.
They accused the commissioner of deceit and denial, saying all attempts they made to the ministry concerning the starter packs have been futile, as she denied knowledge of the program initially despite visiting the training hub after she was sworn in as a commissioner by Gov. Okowa. They alleged that the commissioner plans to tag them as hoodlums to deceive the governor and invite the police and army to shoot at them like the Lekki massacre during the protest but vow to resist any attempt to intimidate them.

While vowing to fight for what is their right, they questioned the rationality of the government in subjecting graduates to such demoralising treatment, while first school leaving certificate and O-Level holders who took part in training programs such as GEST, STEP, YAGEP were given starter packs and capital worth ₦1M-₦3M
with free accommodation and better treatment during training. They inquired if the ₦10,000 monthly stipends which the ministry gave to them for three months was the actual amount approved by the governor.

They, therefore, called on Gov. Okowa to immediately direct the Honourable Commissioner to release their starter packs, capital and other benefits to them including money spent on house rent, which has been done to other trainees in different programs like GEST, STEP, RYSA, YAGEP, DESOPADEC empowerment program, etc, all run by the state government in different ministries.

What I can deduce is that ur nephew's teeth is that it is still milk teeth so tendency of it falling at any point is high. This simply means the tooth that removed is a milk teeth, notwithstanding for your nephew to say he removed his tooth means it dropped in the process of beating or something and that means the said tooth was already shaking ready to fall off before then.
Because he can't jus remove a toddler's tooth when he is not crazy. Did they engage in physical combat? So that is probably what happened.
For the tooth to fall off in the process of beating means is bullshit.

This is of course a matter for the police to intervene in.

1. Go and report this case immediately so that the police can prosecute the teacher on at least two charges, one for assaulting a minor, and two for threat to life

2. Get a lawyer and sue the School. They are vicariously liable for the actions of the teacher.

Your sister has mind to come home with her son without his tooth. Sometimes you don't have to wait till the next day. Give the person as e dey hot.
Having said that, you people should go to school and report to the school authority. Make sure that boy doesn't step foot in that school again even if it's the Cambridge on your area.

Do the parents of the school have a whatsapp. You can start by posting this complaints there including the marks on the boy's neck and all his mother faced when she tried addressing the issue. If that is not possible then take up the case with ministry's contact that was posted earlier. I think this so called teachers pouring out their frustrations on children has done more harm than good and should be arrested immediately. I am even more pained that a 5 years old boy is made to go through this trauma. To think that the school is even conniving to cover it up is more sickening.

Sometimes we ought to let go and call it Mercy.

What the teacher did was wrong, But I do suggest the mother go to the school and have a chat with the teacher, thereby letting him know the implication of his action if she should take it up legally.

The outcome of the visit will determine her next line of action.
If the teacher is remorseful enough I think he deserve a chance to redeem himself, his action might not really be his personality especially where they have been no record of such or similar scenario before this incident.

Getting the teacher sacked, imprisoned and made to pay for dentist bill to serve as deterrent for others sometimes has adverse effects of producing carefree teachers and dull pupils.

Mercy in this scenario get the message passed with better results for all parties involved.
Let your aunt call it Mercy ( that is Incase the teacher show remorse and own up to his actions when she confronts him else legal action is justified)

Mercy kini, if it was your child will show mercy??
Whether the teacher feel remorse or not she should pay for what she did, hitting a little child so hard that his teeth fell out and then threatening him, what kind of monster is that.
I wondered what she has done to those little children that many parents didn't know or the punishment didn't show obvious signs
If na me that teacher is done, I will carry police then beat the shit out of her, whatever money she has will be finish on top police matter.
It's a little kid so his teeth will grow back but that teacher will regret her life for touching my baby
