15-year-old opened fire at his Michigan high school on Tuesday, killing three students, including a 16-year-old boy who died in a deputy’s patrol car on the way to a hospital, authorities said.

Eight other people were wounded, some critically.

Horrific video shows students cowering from a 15-year-old gunman who identified himself as a sheriff's deputy and shot dead three students at the Michigan high school, wounding eight others including a teacher.

Chilling footage captured by a student shows classmates huddled beneath desks inside a barricaded classroom as a killer gunman who'd already begun his rampage roams the halls, trying to convince would-be victims that it was safe to emerge from hiding.

'Sheriff's office,' the boy said. 'You can come out.'

Students exchanged glances as one whispered 'he said it's safe to come out.'

But one skeptical classmate declined to open the door, saying: 'We're not willing to take that risk right now.'

Eight people were injured in the shooting, and two were undergoing surgery.

Tate Myre, 16, Hana St Juliana, 14, and 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin were shot dead on Tuesday.

Every single person above the age of 21 is permitted to have a license to carry. And, Michigan is an open carry state. You can carry a gun in public without a permit.

So, which legalization and blah are you talking about? Even if firearms were illegal in Michigan, if the 15 year old needs a gun to shoot up his school, he's still gon get it.

Especially In a state where semi auto are dime a dozen. (Not literally)

So, it's not about control and legalisation. Guns don't kill people, people with guns kill people.

in this age where everything is done for the clout. I need more drastic measures should be taken like shoot on sight of any public murderer instead of arrest and trial.

That's how Justice works not the Law though.
The Law isn't justice. there are two different thing.
Taking a life and serving 10 - 15 years can't be balanced on a scale.

The point I'm trying to portray was a more drastic measures should be put in place. It won't be a surprise if on questioning he will say he was feeling suicidal or just wanted to get back at his school for bullying. A competent lawyer can get him a reduced sentence for that and in no time he will be out.
If say a shoot on sight is the order of the day, when you're being bullied or feeling suicidal, you'll think twice before taking a firearm to the public because that is an automatic dead for you
