According to report

His account was hacked and withdrawals made. He reported to the bank. They traced the hacker's account, blocked further outflows and requested he do an affidavit attesting to the fact that he didn't authorise the withdrawals, only to return to the bank with the court affidavit and was informed that further withdrawals have been made and his N450k savings all cleared.

He quietly left the bank, got a rope and returned to hang himself inside the bank hall.

That's why I don't quickly jump into conclusions when I see people suffering the way they do. Just imagine what someone did to the other. Should this guy reason the person matter via Sango now, they will say it's wickedness.

Nigeria banks are so weak and untrustworthy, unhelpful a lot of times. Somebody complained to you of an unauthorised withdrawal on his account, you claim to block the account and yet more fraudulent withdrawals were still done on the account to the point of clearing the whole sum of money in the young man's account. Meaning an insider is responsible for this dirty job and the bank should therefore be held responsible for the unlawful withdrawals.

I see davido sending him 500k as part of his charity program, I see him back on his feet hailing and smiling with davido.

I see other lazy youths going into the bank with rope to attempt suicide hoping for davido to pick their call, I see the bank arresting them.

This I have seen.

Many people sick for Nairaland

Your submission is not complete without making mention of GTB bro...

I guess the useless bank is Access Bank. Don't be surprised that the hacker is an access bank staff.

Access bank is the most useless bank in Nigeria and I only pity people transacting with that banks. Fraudulent deductions, fraudulent attacks and poor services.

Last year my access bank account was hacked. They even never had a clue to helping me out. Shame

Why can't we hold the bank responsible if our monies we kept with them is withdrawn by someone else. In this case the man has reported the matter, how come the bank allow the rest money to be taken

The Banks won't do much, and we've only heard his side of the story.

If you've blocked your Card, it remains blocked, if you call them to block your account it remains blocked until you physically go tender documentary proof before it's unblocked.

Besides the Banks are insured so they do not suffer any form of losses even if they get robbed.

That yahoo guy on Nairaland called Slawormiir probably has a lot of innocent blood of victims he had scammed who committed suicide on his head. Don't envy fraudsters, they NEVER have REST!

I said it before and I will keep saying it that a day is coming in this country that these Yahoo Yahoo boys which our society is glorifying, giving them unnecessary popularity, supporting and giving them unnecessary quick recognition will one day turned against us and start wiring all your little change you and i have in our Nigerian bank account. Maybe then Nigerian people who are glorifying these Yahoo Yahoo boys will wake up and come to their normal senses about the evil deeds they have done to other people. You will now experienced what those their victims from other countries face.
There is no excuse to crime. Yahoo Yahoo is also stealing others people money. Asked yourself this question? How would you feel if someone stole all what you have been labour for years. It is crime against humanity. Stop it now!! They are many here on this Nairaland. And if any of you is trying to quote me or attack me, may Thunder fire you all!!

How can it be good for scammer and hackers. That's why when some youth die you can't just explain or understand. You don't know what they involved themselves in and is fighting them.

I think the banks need to do more to protect their customers monies. I honestly don't know what the should do but they should try and do something. This is not right at all

If he was serious, he would have gone to Bush instead.

However, banks need to find a lasting solution to this. While everyone needs to be careful with their bank details, most of these online fraud are committed by ex bank staffs.

Banks are just useless for the common man. No protection whatsoever. What's even the point of having money in the bank when fraudsters can easily cart away with your funds? Its to buy a safe or leave money in USDT that's safe. WTF man angry
