Local players are more worried about picking up injuries, at least they should be because they have no health insurance.

Komekn this you?

Don't come here pretending to be fighting for Dennis, when in the real sense of it, you're trying to use him to drag another down.

Oga elunico...I don't see guys rating Dennis much here and he really surprised everyone even me who knew him from KFA as academy boy...kokmne was right then, possibly you see more of Dennis than some of us and you rated him highly, good Dennis form vindicated you.

I remember Kokmne doesn't rate Fikayo Tomori and I called him out but I realized one need to watch players deeply before passing judgment....for instance I never believed in Awaziem but i was wrong..so sometimes it happens.

Going into archives to dig past comments out on players would not always do us good,a player one negate can become solid today but big question, how genuinely were such comments as at then....so to me Kokmne was right on Dennis, remember the same Dennis failed woefully in Bundesliga but turning EPL with ease.

I remember some comments here on Awoniyi prior to the commencement of this season especially from my good friend Humility33 but his form this season damn good....I don't need to castigate Humility on it cos as at then Awo was not consistent.

I never said they are alike, mate. I juxtaposed his weakness with another CM to show it isn't unique.

Kovacic is elite, Mctominay is still potential.

But compare his stats with a CM like Tielemans who United fans have been seducing and flirting with for years and you'll understand how good he has been despite being deployed in a deeper role.
You want to compare Mctominay to Tielemans? Kovacic no gree you na Tielemans grin

Bro if I tell you I'm still keen on Lookman, then, I am a big liar. There is nothing really special about that boy. He has done nothing in over 3 seasons now.

I use to be crazy about these foreign born players, but over time, they have proven to be nothing but a flash in the pan. They always flatter to deceive. They never last on the stage after making that bursts that brings hypes
Hmmmm

I understand his take. I have 2 points to make:

1. Most of our players grew up in Nigeria
2. Ivory Coast's golden generation is a woeful disappointment. I am still pained by their lack of success till today.

Manchester United and Leicester had the same amount of possession, shots and goals last season, so it should be easy for you to proof that Tielemans who played in a more advanced CM role is better than deeper McTominay, brother.

Abuja stadium looking good.
I'm starting to feeling very confident we would qualify with ease to the world cup.

As long as ighalo leads the line along side Victor Moses

Nigeria international Joe Aribo has been named in Whoscored.com's Scottish Premiership Team of the Month for November 2021.

The versatile midfielder is one of two Rangers players selected in the ceremonial eleven, along with right-back James Tavernier.

Last month, Aribo went the distance in the two games played by the Light Blues in the Scottish top-flight and recorded a goal involvement of three, helping the reigning chapions register maximum points.

The 25-year-old was on target and provided an assist in the 4-2 rout of Ross County before getting on the scoresheet in a 3-1 win at Livingston last weekend.

He was deployed as one of the two central midfielders in the Premiership Team of the Month.

With a rating of 8.4, Aribo was the joint-top rated player in the Team of the Month, an honour he shares with Celtic winger Jota.

The former Charlton Athletic man has averaged 1.9 shots per game, 1.7 key passes per game and 1.7 dribbles per game in the Scottish Premiership this season.

He didn't condemn foreign based players, the point is that foreign based players are over-rated. Cameroon's first two were mainly home based. Cameroon's and Africa's most dreaded team to the world cup(1990) was 50% home based. You must not argue everything even from a tactician who knows African football like Pitso. More African based footballers have touched international laurels more than foreign based players in Africa

They are telling you that Pitso never said anything like that... It's just one of those made up stories you see online....

That being said, no reasonable and progress seeking football manager will select players based on where they are born, based or play... The first criteria is performance.. Merit breeds success... You select your best players..
We are always quick to mention Egypt but we forget that Egypt has such a good league that their best players don't have to move abroad to play... How many Egyptian players have player in Europe for the past decades? quite few... They have a good league that's better than that of many countries in Europe...

This habit of selecting people based on sentiments is one of the reason this country isn't progressing... Quota system and the desire to promote nationality over merit...

Well said Danny

As if Egypt have always have good players in Europe ,their best players have always come from their league

I repeat ,no national team will boycott Europe good teams and call players from their own league

My oga Zuchy, why using Cameroon 1990 as an example...in the 80s and and early 90s how many African footballers were foreign based?.Cameroon had eight home based to Italian 90 and I remember Nigeria had only three foreign based to Algier 90....This is to tell you dearth of foreign based in 80s and early 90s.

Pls give me the names of African based players who have touched international laurels than foreign based players?

North African teams have won more international laurels in Africa and they are 80 percent home based that is enough. I don't want to add other home based players from other regions. Cameroon had 9 home based players not 8
