1) they give students note to copy for them on the black board.

2) they will hardly have time to explain the note.

3) they will flog your child like he/she stole from them.

4) they befriend your under aged kids

5) they flog your kid if he refuse their pedophile approach.

6) they will abuse your kids and make sure you knows nothing about it. God will purnish bad teachers.

Times are bad, the economy is harsh but trust me nobody is finding it easier. Your job is to teach, just do your job.

Killing is bad and I know the killer will not go unpunished but if you are a teacher in this forum

You have to learn that minding your business is the best you can get.

It is not easy my brother. A similar thing happened to me about 10 years ago in kano(S/Gari). After punishing d boy, he went home (feel cheated) and brought his Dad together wt one of his Dad's younger brother. on seeing them, I sensed danger n quickly made up my mind for any eventuality. My brother, everyone of them collect wt d help of my male colleagues. Just b firm n limit ur interactions wt d students(especially d female ones) while in d teaching profession either private or public else they will rubbish u. Treat everyone equally n u ll b fine. NB: Dont dull yourself ooo as a teacher coz these students too might want to know if u re fit.

Ask around... That's what some teachers in private schools earn per month... Most private schools don't pay more than 25k. And the teachers work ridiculous hours, handling work meant for at least more people.

If you've truly been a teacher, you would understand what it means to tutor children who've already been spoilt from home.
You can't be a teacher and be good to every student except you're a pretender who doesn't have the interest of the student at heart. As a disciplinarian knows what he's doing students will still like you.

All the teachers I tagged monsters in primary and secondary school days, are the ones I'm always grateful to and appreciating these days though I'm yet to meet anyone of them.

nothing is easy,I won't deny the fact that I do flog my students but majority of time I just send them off and tell them to come back when they are ready to learn.

The teacher don collect, nothing you can say will bring him back to life. Next time don't beat people's children. We've had cases of children abused by teachers all in the name of discipline. You can't tell how a relative of that child will react to such. Next time keep your hands to yourself.

I don't know when you schooled but teachers were respected even between 2006 to 2015, things have probably changed now but discipline is always vital in education, you even have to be disciplined in the real world to carry out your job or hustle well.

Well, if a teacher mistreats you, you get your parents to report to the school authorities, and if they don't take action, get them to transfer you out of the school

If a teacher mistreats you, get your parents to report to the school authority, and let the school authority take it from there. No need for all this long grammar.

If the school refuses to handle it, then let your parents withdraw you from the school, and take you to a school where the teachers are more concerned with teaching than beating students.

And if you want students to stop being beaten in school, like I do, go and get your senator or house of rep member to pass a law banning corporal punishment in school. Or go and meet a human rights group, so that they can approach the Minister of education, and let the Minister or commissioner issue an edict banning such.

Which is what a Nairalander did recently, and got justice done at the level of the school. (Thread on front page 2 days ago). School proprietor heard him out, and found out that the teacher was to blame, and dealt with the teacher. Case closed.

Don't take the law into your own hands. Because people are not going to hear the rights and the wrongs of your case when that happens, and I know from near bitter experience how that feels. They will just assume that you were the aggressor, and that will be that.
