Everybody is shouting Abike this, Abike that, what about the Nigerian embassy in Ivory coast? What did they do about her plight since 2019? Nigerian diasporan commission was not informed until late 2020, does Abike Dabiri have mystical powers to know about a Nigerian languishing in jail in Ivory coast? The deceased's family probably didn't know the appropriate quarters to channel their complaints to till it got too late, not the fault of the diaspora commission. The bulk of the blame goes to the Nigerian embassy in CIV and sadly the deceased living illegally in another country. All these mess would have been avoided if she hadn't insisted on pursuing a matter that could have been settled out of the police station

You are right the Nigerian Embassy in Ivory Coast should have done something. A reason why when the Nigerian Diplomat that was manhandled in Indonesia got no sympathy from me. Our Nigerian diplomats and embassies/High Commissions are non challant and have your similar attitude - she deserved what she got because she did not do right. An American or Briton caught with drugs is never abandoned in any foreign country. What is Abike's duty? What is the diaspora commission for? Nigeria failed this lady. I am not surprised even in Nigeria Nigerians are being let down.

The Kano damsel who was arrested with drugs I saw how the FG handled it though Brekete family played a role but still I was impressed. Saudi and drugs in a no no. But the damsel was released. Is she truly now working in NDLEA?

Abike , uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Your duty must be done. It is not easy 2020 or 2021 you got to know did not stop you and your team from saving the lady. The Saudi case did not take even 3 months. If those in places of authority cannot deliver resign. Let someone who thinks or can do the job.

I am Yoruba the worst thing you can do when you go to another country is go to a Yoruba person they will destroy your future in fact they will make your future a lot worse I have seen this in other African countries. They will go to the Nigerian Embassy collect money and send you out. Most of them abroad are unemployed and illiterate. When do you go to America and United Kingdom you just see their own employment rates and you'll be shocked only think they do start gossiping for money tonight and selling their people out.

I blame Nigeria and her guardian. Imagine if her guardian was able to give her a better life the chances of her choosing to run off to another hell hole would have greatly reduced.

As for Nigeria government I don't even know where to start. FG is as useless as it comes they have no regards for the poor let alone a poor girl stuck outside the country.

If her parents had connections that Abike of a lady would have flown to that place to negotiate on her behalf. She would have used the might of FG to get her out in one piece.

This country sucks big time. I really don't know who did this to us.
