The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa has demanded full autopsy and justice surrounding the circumstances that led to death of Itunu Babalola in Cote D'ivoire.

Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa made the demand when she visited the Ambassador of Cote D'ivoire to Nigeria, Amb. Traore Kallilou in Abuja.

The NIDCOM Boss presented a protest letter to the Ambassador requesting a blow by blow account that culminated in the death of a Nigerian Girl, Itunu Babalola.

Hon Dabiri-Erewa urged Nigerians in the Diaspora to always be good Ambassadors of Nigeria by obeying the laws of their host countries as well as appeal to them to always use their real identity in whatever they do and also register their presence in Nigerian Missions in their places of residence.

Meanwhile, the Cote D'ivoire Ambassador to Nigeria Amb. Traore Kallilou pledged full cooperation to ensure that nothing is swept under carpet and autopsy report monitored and published forthwith.

It could be recalled that Itunu's house in Abidjan Cote D'ivoire was burgled and in her bid to get justice took the case to the police for proper investigation.

While filling the case, she used Miss Becky Paul instead of her real name Itunu Babalola to write her statement and the case unfortunately turned against her as she was later accused of Human Trafficking.

However, the Nigerian Embassy in Cote D'ivoire is alive on the issue and has issued a statement as attached.

Let them demand for justice surrounding to circumstances that led to the death of unarmed peaceful protesters at Lekki Toll Gate, October 20th last year. Also Justice for the victims of incessant killings in Kaduna, Katsina and Zamfara by known bandits.

She is trying her best, the incident is unfortunate and cote d ivoire is a sovereign country and not Nigerias 37th state. Even Benin republic has not released Igboho to Nigeria.

Stop the mob mentality, she is the best we have ever had, By the way , where is the voice of minister of foreign affairs Godwin Onyeoma in all of these?

Both Onyeama and Abike are careless souls. With mass emigration , Nigeria should have strong diplomaic presence in any country with significant Nigerian population.

Onyeama as Minister of foreign affair that had a stronger say did not kill the lady, but Abike is the one that killed the lady ? right?

The lady was convicted albeit wrongly, and Abike should seize her from Cote d'ivoire prison is your weak logic....... right?

I have studied consistently many of the government appointees in the past and that lady i must confess has been exceptional and to a great extent always rising to the occasion. Mobs don't reason though, all they do is lynch.
