Hello all, the Äuslanderbehorde said they have processed the visa application and responded to the German Consulate in Lagos since last week Monday. We are yet to receive any mail from the Consulate about their final decision. Who has any idea of how long it takes the Consulate to send such emails?

We still have not heard from the embassy and it has been 2 weeks and a few days since the Äuslanderbehorde had gotten back to them. Is there anyone experiencing a similar delay from the embassy? Or is there probably an issue with the visa application? The waiting and anxiety is terrible embarassed

I used axa mansard insurance, it’s relatively cheap and also has offices in Germany.
Good luck

Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by bashito: 6:41am On Dec 09, 2021
Where is your location? Location plays a major role in the delivery of the documents too. And what courier service did you use? If it is DHL, you can track it with the number given to you when you bought it. Just relax, your passport cometh!

This man be patient, the embassy needs 7 days to dispatch your documents to the courier without contacting you, your documents must have been with the courier, you just have to wait till they contact you. At this point, the embassy May not provide you with further information even when you email them. Just be patient.
This was exactly my case. I had to relax till the courier called me.

If you call the embassy they will tell you to contact the courier, when you call the courier, they won’t be able to help you without your tracking number which even if you still have it, it wont be valid anymore since it’s more than 6 months.
When you are too in a hurry with hot blood, you can visit the embassy during working hours so that man at the gate can give you cold water to drink.
But in all, I got my documents back within 21 days after submission. My advice is just be patient. You can book your ticket when you have gotten your visa.
Your visa is usually 3months visa.

Hello everyone. Good job.
I have a question.
I have two children (less than 2 years) and my wife. I would like them to join me.
I would like to know in addition to my wife application form, should I also fill two separate application form for my children?

Thank you.

Yes, you fill separate application forms for your kids. Even though their names are on your wife's application form, they should have separate forms filled for them.

Have you gotten any response? Are you in Germany now?

Sorry for the late response. The 'lawyers' have come & gone.
They did the verification all through November as I had 3different 'lawyers' in different locations but only met 1
Waiting for an update from the Consulate

Good day people, for travellers to Germany that have been fully vaccinated, do they still need a pcr test to board?
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Atopet(m): 4:52pm On Dec 14, 2021
PCR Test of not more that 48hours before entrance is a must, whether vaccinated or not

Please must you be fully vaccinated before you can travel to Germany or is the PCR test enough?

Until now, Fully vaccinated passengers “DO NOT” need a PCR test to enter Germany.
As long as your vaccination documents are authentic, you don’t need a PCR test.
The border controls verify you certificate if it’s not issued in Europe. So please avoid faking it. That could lead to harsh punishment
