Most siblings drift apart in communication to one another and love as they grow up.The love they have as kids almost has evaporated when they become adults. Some people have friends that are closer than their blood siblings. We have seen and heard stories of how siblings have committed abominable acts against their siblings. So in your own opinion what do you think is the cause of why siblings of same parents drift apart?

Maybe it is because of the fact that they spent their whole childhood together and want to explore adulthood independent of their siblings. Or it could be because of personality differences

Let's start with the bible!
1. Most, if not all, of the cases recorded had to do with each or both parents taking sides (favouritism) with a particular child! E.g. Esau and Jacob, etc.

2. When one sibling is doing better than the other in any or all aspects, it breeds jealousy - a hydra headed vice to possess! E.g Cain and Abel, Joseph and his siblings, etc.

3. Other factors such as peer influence, intolerable bad character of sibling(s), etc...

However, in my opinion, primarily, if I witness any case, I'd blame the parent/guardian first, before asking questions, cos they're expected to nib such buds early in life!

Because some people change completely and their new versions might be too complicated to deal with. But nothing should stop siblings from loving each other, nothing. We however are in a world where most people don't just care so...

You were born alone and will die alone. The Bible talks the most about one’s journey through life and if they will make it to heaven. It doesn’t talk about a family’s journey through life and if every member will make it to heaven.

That is just it. Some personalities just don't vibe well together, even if they're siblings.
That is where tolerance and making effort comes in.

lol wisdom comes with age,60yrs isn't a joke.

I think it has to do mainly with personality. For you to keep someone as your friend, you must have the same personality, the same ideology and the same perception to life to a larger extent. The Bible says that "can two work together unless they agree?" this saying also applies to siblings.

Another factor is differences in life status either financially or educationally. Some richer siblings see the others as not being equal to them or deserving of their relationship. Likewise, some well educated ones.

Lastly, marriage. Nothing separates siblings like marriage especially the men. Once a woman comes into the picture, her first line of action is to create discord amongst the siblings.

I am a victim of this and the only issue there is envy

When I saw that envy, I decided not to confront anyone of them and it went on for five years

When they were tired, one of them called me to apologize for keeping malice with me uptil now, he said, doesn't even know why he joined the rest of them

I asked him just one question, what brought about that stupid behavior? , he said "you are the only one progressing"

The rest called and asked for forgiveness, now we are all friends and sibblings sharing things together
