Just meet a good rewire to go through all the fuses in your car (engine bay fuse box and drivers left feet side fuse box). If he encounters a bad one let him replace it and not bridge it with a wire.

Thanks I really appreciate I have been able to reach Kingreign and I will drop update as soon as I meet him later today

I drive a 2008 Honda Accord and it recently developed an issue. When I engage the gear in reverse or drive it makes a 'kpoom' sound and the engine vibrates for a split second. When moving it takes a while for the car to pick up speed and climbing a hill is now difficult.Someone suggested I check the engine seating, which I did.The engine seating is intact. What could be the problem?
I managed to get the car to a repair workshop. The scan indicated P1659.The auto mechanic changed something in the fuse box and told me to test drive it.Right there in his workshop the noise ceased when the gears were engaged. When I got back to the road I stopped to get something and the problem resurfaced again!Any one with experience on this please help!

Sorry about your experience. Whatever relay or fuse he fixed is bad again. Take it back to him and let him change the bad fuse or relay entirely. They are relatively cheap. If somehow it still occurs again then there is a bridge in your wiring somewhere causing the relay to get damaged. E.g my o2 sensor wire got melted on my exhaust and kept causing a fuse to blow. Your case needs to be properly diagnosed and damaged parts replaced and not managed

Hello all, many thanks for sharing your experiences. I use a bull dog, untill recently, I noticed that when the engine is warm after driving it, the automatic gear does not enter reverse even though its in R, and it does not select D4 also. Can this be fixed or I have to change the entire gear. Also, if I have to change it, can someone ple tell me the best place to get a good one. Many thanks for your anticipated responses.

I'm experiencing thesame thing with my EOD 2004..... how can I fix it

I'd start with scanning the vehicle. What transmission fluid do you use?

pls I need help here!
From my experience, there are 2 possibilities:

1) If your dash board shows a blinking 'D' sign then see a 'gear specialist' immediately.I suspect gear sensor problem or even fibres!
2) Check your ATF in the gear box to ensure it's not below gauge and feel it to check if it's due for replacement, could be reason for difficulty climbing hill and car may roll back if on a hill even with the gear on drive!

Good luck to you!

Thank you for the follow up.I took the car back to the workshop. He changed the relay and the problem persisted. He the rescanned and this time it gave a P1658 error. He spent time working on the fuse box and the wiring around the fuse box and under the dash board by the driver's side. The problem stops when he starts the car. When it's put off and allowed to rest, when started again the problem comes up again. It happened over and over again. He then concluded that the fault is from the brain box.According to him the brain box is not sending current to the relay hence the noise when the gear is engaged and lack of throttle power. What do you think?

Some one pls help before my village people finally succeed on this car, I drive a 2005 Honda Accord. The problem is I remove the battery whenever travelling to places in which the roads are quite bad. When I return and start fixing the battery, the car attempts to and sometimes start on its own with the key in my pocket! What could warrant this

Pls I need help on my honda pilot 2004 model.
Sometimes the pedal does not respond to acceleration while driving. But throttle again or thrice it will respond. Then I have to throttle continuously for about 5 to 10km before the acceleration will normalize. I have changed transmission oil (using original honda Atf), engine oil, plugs, cleaned nozzles; yet the problem still persist( though doesn't happen all the time). I've really spent gud money but the prob still persists. Any suggestions/soln will be highly appreciated.

I am currently having same issues with my pilot. How were you able to resolve it?
