North resisted same at ABU!
Still, there was dissatisfaction by SE, the officers from the region killed this same Balewa!!!!
Out of all the most senior officers in Nigeria, SE has 37, none was killed. 8 from the north, all of them were killed. 10 from the west, 2 were killed.
Then Ironsi imposed a unitary system of government on the country so that everything can belong to a region who snatched it!
We must know our history so that when we want to make corrections, we will not end up concealing the truth. This has nothing to do with tribalism but everything to do with the truth.....at times when lies litter the streets. There is a tendency to think those are truths and facts.
*What follows are facts that can be cross-checked for authenticity!"*

Prof. Ben Nwabueze was the man who drafted the constitution that took away powers from regions and handed it to the central government because his brother Aguiyi Ironsi was the head of state then but some ignorant or selfish people limit their accusations to only Abdussalam Abubakar constitution that give birth to current democratic govt. Today, they're shouting restructuring that they helped to destroy. We won’t forget.”*.

The Igbo man is known to enjoy blaming the Hausa fulanis, Yorubas and indeed every other Nigerian tribe and Lord Luggard/Britain for their seeming claim of being in third class citizen status in Nigeria or refuse to let thm go. In their perpetual attempts to play the victim card, they recount the political events of Nigeria from 1914 to the present in a half-baked and highly selective manner which cleverly avoids the mention of the roles played by their elite who by all natural laws of judgement were actually responsible for the woes that befell not only the Igbo race but the entire Nigeria nation.
However, the national archives have the complete and unedited history of Nigeria regarding the political events beginning way back from even before 1914.
Shortly after the 1914 Amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates, it started getting clear that the country was bound to fail as the amalgamation in question was done with colonial fiat without the consent and consensus of the different tribes which were over 300. This prompted the political leaders to start asking for de-amalgamation so as to forestall the future danger which the forced amalgamation portended.
To that end, Ahmadu Bello, speaking on behalf of the Northern protectorate in 1944 described the amalgamation as "The mistake of 1914 which if allowed to remain will ultimately lead to unstoppable bloodshed and a failed country".
Awolowo, speaking on behalf of the Yorubas and Western minorities, described Nigeria as a mere geographical expression not qualified to be called a country let alone a nation. Awolowo added that if the amalgamation could not be reversed, then Nigeria should be structured as a strictly federal state so as to enable each tribe enjoy autonomy this freedom from being dominated by any one single tribe.
But Nnamdi Azikiwe, speaking for the Igbos, denounced Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello, terming them ethnic champions. He accused them of nursing a sectional agenda against the unity of Nigeria, and he declared further that the Unity of Nigeria was non-negotiable.
After moving the motion for independece in 1953, Anthony Enahoro proposed that a secession clause should be incorporated into the future constitution of Nigeria so as to give legal backing for any tribe to peacefully exit the forced union if it feels marginalized in future. According to Enahoro, such provision in our constitution would instill in all Nigeria's future leaders the fear of the consequences of misgovernance. But Azikiwe, speaking on behalf of Igbos, rose against him in the parliament and labelled him an agent of disunity, and enemy of Nigeria. At a later date, Awolowo too made a case for secession clause, but Azikiwe again resisted him and instigated the colonial authorities to threaten him and Enahoro with charges of treasonable felony if they didn't stop proposing secession clause for the future constitution. While Azikiwe did all these, Igbos cheered and urged him on because they felt the future Nigeria was theirs to dominate and lord it over every other tribe
Before independece, Tafawa Balewa too had in a public speech described Nigeria as a British experiment and Nigeria's unity as a British intention which Nigerians themselves don't believe in. But Azikiwe kicked and demonized him too. Had Azikiwe co-operated with Enahoro, Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa about the secession clause, Nigeria perhaps would not have been this misgoverned.
It should be noted that there were many Igbo members of the parliament in which Azikiwe fought against Awolowo's secession clause proposal in the link above, but not a single one of them rose against Azikiwe or condemned him.
Igbos initially never wanted to hear anything like secession in Nigeria because they so much believed, though falsely, that they were the most educated tribe.
As an evidence of Igbo domination agenda hence their initial resistance to the idea of secession; here is a quote:
"From all indications, the god of us Igbos have destined us to rule the whole of Africa"
Northerners have clearly known this & will never succumb to cheap political trick, how can u call us backward and at the same time asking us to go back to 1963 constitution talkless of even amending the current constitution?

I read everything you posted and believe me they are quite compelling.

The only question I wanna ask you however is, by your estimation, do you think it is right for the rest of Nigeria to keep punishing the generation of Igbos whose mothers were not even born when Nnamdi Azikiwe committed these things you enunciated?

If your answer is yes, I would like to know how long before you people will think it’s ok.

Lol so to igbos kneeling is a form of low self esteem right? Hausa kneel to show respect and displine just like yoruba prostrate before the respected people. But I'm not surprised about this maggot shit coming from an elderly igbos because they lack displine from day one, the way young igbos disrespect their elders says it all. BUT YOU DID WORST THAN JUST KNEELING TO THE NORTH. You were crying like a bitch since 1970 when we almost wipe out the entire Igbo race. You are still licking our ass since then. And presidency will never go to East nor biafra will be actualise. That's the punishment for killing Tafawa balewa and sardauna lol... Cursed people

The North is strongly opposed to Igbo presidency, and it's a wonder. Empirically, it's ideal for power to flow to the South East zone, to allow for an administration by new heads.

Igbos will continue to detest Nigeria, and the logic is simple.
North shouldn't allow any Igbo presidency

Well said. The ibo agenda has always been to dominate others but like I have said earlier, they are not good strategists and it has now all backfired on them. The list of key appointments in Balewa's govt shows why ZIK who came 1st in an election chose to make Balewa who came 3rd prime minister despite the fact that Awo offered him (Zik) the chance to be prime minister...they thought the North would be easier to dominate. it is on record that Ojukwu was aware of the impending coup despite his claims to the contrary. Make no mistake about it the ibo agenda is to dominate others and the rest of us are now alive to this. I had never seen the list of military positions but it just reinforces what i have always said considering we now all know what the ibos did when they occupied the military.

I have said it in a previous post, the biggest problem with Nigeria is not the North but the ibo because while the North may want to rule Nigeria politically, the ibo man wants to conquer and dominate you....thats a migger bigger issue!!!!!! Ahmadu Bello said it and ever since I saw that video my eyes opened and I realized he was right. But God is a wonderful God because he hasnt blessed the ibos with the political and human skills required to achieve their goals. Had it been the north had the same ambitions of the ibo, we'd all be muslims practising sharia. A lot of the ways of the north that affect the way nigeria is ruled are in reaction to the past actions of the ibos and the knowledge that if they are given certain freedoms they will do what they do with it. For instance states were created solely to remove Oil from Ojukwu's control, the fear of what he would do with the revenues from oil. Unfortunatly this has negative resultant effects on the rest of the country and autonomy and economic progress.

I have said many times modern Nigeria is designed for control not for progress and IMHO that is the result of our past history. Past incidents have given foundation to the belief that if you give an ibo man too much political and military freedom and he will come back to conquer you.

Part of the reason the mindset of 1960s still persists till date is because things are still very much like they were in the 60s.

The Igbo is still discriminated against and made to feel like he doesn’t belong here.

The only way to banish the ghosts of the 60s and make that mindset disappear is by healing that wound through giving an Igbo man power.

What alternative solution do you have?

Everyday people are kidnapped in katsina. Boko Haram is ravaging the north. Poverty and illitracy is the order of the day. Of what good is buhari presidency to katsina state and the north?

I understand that it is a cultural thing for igbo's not to bend the knee which for me can be a good thing. But, bending the knee quite different from playing the ryt politics.
Politics is about interested, and that's why the north are so strong politically. The yoruba's understand this concept very well.
Sometimes it's not about what you have to offer, you should know how to manage ur ego (which is not bending the knee) if not you might as well die with ur potential.
Well, as for the status quo? I think the igbo's will continue to be sidelined until they learn to play politics
No qualms

It sure is. Yorubas are the only ones who had considered giving them a fair shake and they’ve consistently attacked and maligned every Yoruba political move over the past 50 years. I’m glad there are a GROWING number of young Yorubas waking up. Scream from here to kingdom come, we will NOT give you ANYTHING! You will have to compete and take it from us. Unfortunately history doesn’t fare well will for you lot in that regard.

Honestly a Yoruba/Fulani led Nigeria is better anyway. The Igbos are too unpredictable and inconsistent politically. Look how quickly Kanu was able to turn their region to a terrorist and unknown gunmen run region. And they were still defending them up until the point where people are dying every other day helter skelter. Heck they still defend ESN despite the chaos they’re adding to the region by not being accountable to anyone. We TOLD THEM that they should follow Amotekun and implement a govt supported regional security network. They didn’t listen and were too prideful AS THEY ALWAYS ARE and even once they realized we were right not only was it too late because ESN had a foothold, Ebubeagu was the most PATHETIC regional security network in the whole world.

They are just NOT built for nation and empire building. Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis have proven to be historically skilled at building nations and empires. They Igbos HAVEN’T! That’s just a fact. So I’ve stopped thinking they should get a presidential shot and started thinking it would be better if they didn’t. At least not the way they are currently. Their leadership is dog shit, they will admit this to themselves yet they want their dog shit leaders that continues to force their populace to other regions due to bad governance, to lead Nigeria. Won’t happen.

Simply put, it's either Igbo President or Igbos will secede from Nigeria. That's just it!

We are ready more than ever before, God-willing, 2023 will be an interesting year.

Then that’s why you have the option of letting this people go.

Allow the Igbos to leave and stop fearing their imaginary intention to subjugate the rest of Nigerians.

For how long are your eyes going to be open and you oppose an Igbo presidency?
I am not the one holding you back. you are the ones that wrote the law that is keeping you in Nigeria. Left to me everybody will go his own way but it is your people that wrote the law that now binds us together. The law you wanted to use to oppress the rest of Nigeria is now what is oppressing you.

The lesson here is power doesnt last forever so when you are in power think about when you are not in power.
