When we know U.S. is the one still figuring how to make it work after many failed tests. A U.S. General had to come out clean last month by saying U.S. should start working on the defence systems that can engage enemy hypersonic missiles even if U.S. can't perfect it's own research about the weapons. How they are going to build a defence system that can engage such a weapon is what I don't understand since they are still finding it difficult to perfect the weapon itself.

According to CNN the latest US hypersonic test, ended in a colossal failure.

It seems they're even struggling to put up something compared to China who have tested a hypersonic missile that circulated the globe before returning back to earth to hit a target. Or the Russians who have deployed the Zircon hypersonic missile alresdy.

The USA haven't even tested any variant yet. They're still assembling part and one of the core parts that is needed in the development of hypersonic missiles, that they tested, ended in a colossal failure which is not even surprising.

I've given you statements made by us top ranking officials claiming they need to put in more efforts in hypersonic research because they're lacking behind China and Russia and you're telling me FOI requests and black projects and other nonsense as if your father works at the US military. The Russians have tested theirs and are still testing. They've fired the Zircon missiles from land based shilos, destroyers, frigates and even submarines. They're currently meeting the requirements to install it on their new SU-57 fighter jet, which is ofcourse also a variant.

The Chinese have tested theirs, left the US military officials in total shock and awe.

You're here telling me the US that are yet to even test theirs, and have disclosed that their variants for warships would be out by 2025 and submarine based in 2028 are ahead of the Russians and the Chinese.

That would depend on how the US treats this tbh. Russian strongman, Vlamidir Putin has been trying to negotiate and reach a deal with the NATO to stop expanding eastwards. He said it would criminal for him to sit down and watch Ukraine join NATO, giving US and allies the green light to build short ranged ballistic missiles and other missile systems just outside its borders. Take note, a short ranged missile when fired from just outside a countries border, would be impossible to take down because of the lack of time to react. Such missile would take just 5 minutes to reach Moscow from Ukraine. So I 100% understand why putin is trying to reach a deal with them to stop expanding to the east and to countries that share border with them.

What is going to cause war now is the USA forming strong head. They issuing empty threats about blasting russia with nuclear weapons. Biden has threatened putin that his "red lines" claims would fall on deaf ears and that there's nothing he can do about them adding Ukraine into NATO.

From a Russian perspective, it is only war that can help protect their interest and securities now.

They need to take over the part of Ukraine that share borders with them, if not even the entire Ukraine.

So maybe yes. If efforts aren't put to disperse this tension, WW3 may come be sooner than we expect

It is possible that Ukrainians and Russians would become friends again after a few years or even decades. Doesn't matter. That could happen after putin leaves power.

But before that happen, Russia SHOULD make sure US aren't allowed to build weapons that would undermine their security even if it means going to war. If that happens, getting them off would be extremely difficult.

Since then, the Russian-Ukrainian frontiers have not known peace, and it would never know peace as long as warhawks in the US remain because they need an ENEMY, and Russia (plus China in recent times) is always a perfect choice. Moreover, the US-led NATO plan for Ukraine is still on and isn't going anywhere soon.

Well, the package offered by NATO to Ukraine is very attractive. Russia is just a single country. NATO members are around 30. You can't compare forming alliance with 30 countries to just 1 country (Russia).

The bottom line is that the US would react the same way, if the countries bordering it are giving green light to Russia or China. Remember what the US did to Cuba. The sanctions placed on Cuba have not been lifted up till now. Infact Cuba would have been invaded if not for the protection they enjoy from the USSR.

Russia will never allow Ukraine to compromise it's security. Although, Ukraine is a sovereign country. But, if they join NATO, the US will have a very big advantage over Russia during war.
