Will you need shunt if you're using current transformer?

I thought the current hall sensor acts the job of the shunt in meters that require the use of hall sensors. So it makes connection and use of such meters easier to connect and use. Although signal interference tend to be a major downside of hall sensor versus shunt.

yes u can buy the quantity u need individually and get it shipped to Nigeria.
shipping lithium is very sensitive, only few shipping company accepts it.it takes approximately 4months . u can buy at your own time. feel free to WhatsApp me for more details. cheers.

Thank you very much Sir, for your input, l really appreciate you.
I am also hoping other gurus in the House will contribute more suggestions for me.

Can l ask
: Do you have an idea of how much it may cost me to get it down and cleared in Nigeria (if you have done something like that in the past or have knowledge of how it is done?
Do you know anyone who is about Shipping to Nigeria, who l can partner with, to reduce cost (I am thinking there are people here who are currently or about to buy RE things from China, as we speak).

Is there no other way of getting this Cells down here, without Waiting for 4Months?
I cant remember where l read on this thread, that though such Materials are rarely shipped by Air but that they do Ship them by Air, after paying some amounts to the Airline/Agents (Na WeeWee )

Airfreight for cells is a hit or miss, worked for someone and received cells within 2wks while the it took about about 6wks, as shipper encountered problems and had to reroute tru honkong.

You are better off buying cells from trusted people in nigeria, as cost of airfreight will gravitate towards same amount at the end.

Valto should be able to guide/fix you up.
If u move quickly, you may be able to latch onto the groupbuy, 3 to 6months is the freight time

Thank you so much Sir..
If l may ask, can you recommend someone trustworthy that sells New Cells in Nigeria?
Do you know any freight forwarder who can do it by air, if that is an option l have to take?
God bless.

i don't believe u are that serious. and have not reached out via WhatsApp for days now. however the group buy is all but concluded, but u can stil gatecrash, if u are fast enough. (note, it takes 3 to 5months to arrive). At the present air frieght rates, u might end spending close to the amount u bought the cells. btw, there is 16pcs brand new cells available for sale at a very affordable price.

I've been to Alaba twice this week.

It seems we now have new ratings for solar panels now.

What used to be....

100W is now 150W.
200W is now 250W.
250W is now 300W

....and so on!

I was doing some windowshopping for someone with interest in going solar, so I visited some shops, not in Lagos though.

I now saw this africell panel that looked of 250 watts. So I asked the guy in the shop the size and he says it's 300 watts panel. I stared carefully and noticed the label under the glass pane (between the glass and the top horizontal aluminium frame) had it written - Africell 270w - and queried the guy why he said it's 300 watts. He simply replied that 300 watts is stamped on the label at the back (obviously the sticker that is accessible for falsification) and that I should disregard the 270w written at the front (a place where you can't get to falsify except you wanna break the glass).

I just smiled, but with deep resentment and anger brewing within me. I was so sad that I couldn't even continue with the shopping.

With these new revelations, I think going forward I have to do a re-evaluation, verification and review of my go to vendors for solar equipments, especially the panels, and that includes our hitherto trusted sellers on this thread (and I have indeed dealt items and referrals worth millions from them, although they can't tell that it's ceaser). I will need to be highly convinced that I won't be sold a dud for me to keep my patronage.

I recently got some 250w that werr the exact dimensions as 200w I had before.
Wanted to ask here even if they're physically the same size

How many do you need? I still have 4 units of brand new 280ah Eve cells available for 80k each

For your loads, estimated at
10W bulb
85W TV
80W fan
20W decoders
Total of 550W , a 1KVA inverter can handle this loads

What is confusing is your pattern of usage isn't know meaning if you run these loads full time and inefficiently your energy storage (battery) will be huge
If you can state your usage pattern and let other folks look into it will be cool

Products you can look into
Battery
NXT index battery
Quanta Battery
Eastman

Inverter
Luminous
Eastman
Vmpower
Others

Solar panels
Jinko
Canadian
Yingli

SMS
Flames and others

You will need an MPPT charger for more efficiency of your battery charging

And others

Good day bro, I notice you guys don't talk about Genus battery and inverter. Can you please say something about it.
Waiting to get a response.
Thank you.

Nothing special about genus battery, slightly better than luminous.
Go for monbat or deka battery, if you still never tire for leadacid battery and want better performance than the norm

@bolded

You don notice say e be like say people don dey get tired of LA. This paradigm shift is worsened by the fact that vendors have flooded the market with substandard, fake batteries including those with falsely declared rating/capacities.

Now e don dey red for solar panels too as false capacities are becoming the norm. Soon e go reach the turn of inverters (if they've not even started yet).

Tampering with labels on Charge controllers is already happening.

Lithium batteries too are already having their own fair share of false capacities from our vendors, although it seems substandard cells have not taken firm root yet.

Thank God that DIY lithium packs is as easy as MNO, else we for be at their mercies with fake battery packs.
