I will need about 16 - 32 Units of between 380Ah and 480Ah to fully fulfil my needs Sir.

Thank you for this offer, l really appreciate.

Am not aware of a 380 or 480ah capacity...there is 300ah, 320ah and I think I have read it 1000ah as well

Yes, I didn't because they are both produced by the same company and imported by simba group ... Though there are opinion that genus is better than luminous but I believe both are the same.

Hamthablow:

Good day bro, I notice you guys don't talk about Genus battery and inverter. Can you please say something about it.
Waiting to get a response.
Thank you.

@ Ojesky.

"PV Risen 390w X 8, Sunfit 280w x 9, Prime 380w X 7"

So I was wondering how you configured your 7 pieces prime panels.

Your system is 48v
The Risen is 390w in 2s, Sunfit 290w in 3s, I guess (stand to be corrected though).

How does the the odd number 7 pieces 380w work out?

NB. I'm trying to use this to work out some possible new upgrades.

I was doing some windowshopping for someone with interest in going solar, so I visited some shops, not in Lagos though.

I now saw this africell panel that looked of 250 watts. So I asked the guy in the shop the size and he says it's 300 watts panel. I stared carefully and noticed the label under the glass pane (between the glass and the top horizontal aluminium frame) had it written - Africell 270w - and queried the guy why he said it's 300 watts. He simply replied that 300 watts is stamped on the label at the back (obviously the sticker that is accessible for falsification) and that I should disregard the 270w written at the front (a place where you can't get to falsify except you wanna break the glass).

I just smiled, but with deep resentment and anger brewing within me. I was so sad that I couldn't even continue with the shopping.

With these new revelations, I think going forward I have to do a re-evaluation, verification and review of my go to vendors for solar equipments, especially the panels, and that includes our hitherto trusted sellers on this thread (and I have indeed dealt items and referrals worth millions from them, although they can't tell that it's ceaser). I will need to be highly convinced that I won't be sold a dud for me to keep my patronage.

You are correct, those that like cheap product will fall victim and complain of poor harvest. Unserious bunchs.

My CC allows for 2 mppt input so here is what it looks like:

Mppt1 390w X 8 of Risen all in series
Mpp2 380w X 7 is also all in series and then it runs in parallel with 280w X 9 sunfit which is all in series as well.

I could only achieve the above because it's a high Voc CC that I use.... You will need to check your cc max Voc to plan

Likely not a single cell. After 310ah, any single cell larger than this has structural issues.unless it would be prefitted in a case

Hello house, please is it true that this amarom quanta has 10years warranty because someone wants to sell this to a friend of mine and said it is even better than tubular.

Then this MPPT too. Please any one used it before and can give review on it? Many thanks.

Hello house.

So i got 2x 24v 150ah blue carbon lifepo4 batteries both connected in series to my 48v 5kva hybrid inverter. The problem now is that it seems that one of the batteries depletes fast than the other, I'm getting a voltage difference of up to 0.4v. I reached out to my installer and he came and hooked up one active battery balancer like but its doubt its doing a good job of keeping packs balanced.

To the experienced guys in the room, how do I fix this issue? The setup is still brand new and if this persist, I plan calling the installer to get me a replacement because I suspect both batteries aint got the same capacity.

Cheers

You'd have to state your load and current run time

Namzy:

My load maxes out at 2.5kw but that barely runs on the battery since the inverter bypasses. The load I use on battery power maxes out at 500w. For runtime I haven't actually done a test for that but ita generally can take me over a day if my load in under 200w.

The true capacity of your blue carbon is actually 24v 130ah not 150 ah as advertised. The voltage difference of 0.4 is expected because the batteries have separate BMS controlling the charging profile. You need to actually let us know the run time VI's a VI's your load for us to actually advise better but be not deceived,if I remove losses and efficiency, your batteries are actually 24v 100ah usable capacity!!!

About the advise you want to give me, you can still advice me woth hypotheticals. I'll get a volt meter with shunt to do capacity testing, that should give me some numbers around runtime and capacity.
I'm more concerned about the fact that both batteries might not be charging at the same time optimally. The difference in voltage increases drastically to the extent of shutting down the inverter while one of the batteries still got more juice. I complained to the installer and he came to add o battery equaliser but I'm yet to see both batteries consistently having a volt differential in micro volts.
