Buhari should appoint yussuff as head of an agency should be nice!

if Yusuf is qualified there is nothing wrong with it...though i doubt that boy qualifies for anything!!! The question you should be asking is.......what are his credentials to be a DG of an agency?

I am not saying it is or isnt nepotism, it all depends on his qualifications for the job and whether due process was followed. I am simply saying that simply appointing a relative to a govt agency is not in itself nepotism.

EDIT:

According to this, he was nominated by the party. If true, Should he deny his son because he is governor? According to the article he played a major role in APC in Ondo state, nobody said dont campaign or help the party because you are governor's son!

Good job. He is sure to block the thieves who underperform government contracts or out rightly do nothing on the project but receive huge sums from the government.

nepotism
/ˈnɛpətɪz(ə)m/
noun
the practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs.
"he promised an end to corruption and nepotism"
Governor Akeredolu did not do his son a favour in appointing him to that office. The young man can do without that job.

Pls pple there is a reason why things like dis are frowned upon allover the world and its because of objectivity and accountability.Regardless of his level of competence serving in his fathers cabinet is totally unnacceptable cos it opens d door 4 compromise. So tell me if akeredolus son steals money or abuses office would his father come out and publicly saction him?

There's no crime in what he's done as long as hes qualified. This is the reason they do let their kids get the best of education and experience.

If I were to be in his position and I had a son, I would do the same!

sir u are missing the point inspite of his sons qualification appointing him in his cabinet is wrong simply because it opens d door 4 compromise in goveeness. So if his son embezzles money or abuses office can his father call gim out publicly?this is mainly d reason why things like dis are frowned upon so we can maintain objectivity ,disxipline and accountability in office.Competence is only one attribute in recruiting personnel 4 office.

You just exhibited some degree of tomfoolery. Regardless of the degree of affinity, a competent and qualified person can be appointed to any ofice so long as the provisions of the civil service rules and the code of conduct for political office holders doesn't prohibit same.

So your children shouldn't be employed or appointed because you are a governor.

What kind of precedence do you people want this politicians to start now, who cursed naija chai,, I pity the electorate in that region because this is a slap on their face.

Nice gesture by the governor.
If your son is qualified
Give him the job.
That's more way to help him other than roaming around answering the Governor's son and siphoning tax payers money.
